Hi Diane, what a lovely podcast. Your home and decorations are beautiful! So interesting to hear you’re learning continental - I am too. We just drove down to St Augustine and I did all my car knitting continental. I knit LePetitKnits bandana and happy with the results. Sounds like we were motivated by similar reasons - shoulder and finger. I told my Physical Therapist I could not give up/stop knitting. Luckily, she is also a knitter and understood. And I am getting more and more comfortable with it - I just finished the crown-shy hat and even managed the cables (without a cable needle) 😊. Can’t wait to see your sweater! I’m so happy to have met you - your podcast is lovely, inspiring, joyful and relaxing. Happy New Year! Kris

Ha, 4H, great memories! Living in KS it was a big part of our lives. I was in the sewing group & took an outfit to State, getting a red ribbon. My brother won a calf in a calf scramble. Enjoy all your knits & seeing the decorations. Living in NJ we had the same weather. Happy Holidays.🎉

Your sweater is beautiful and perfect for the Christmas episode. I knew a lot about St. Francis, but especially with the special prayer...Make me a channel of your peace, etc. I embroidered the prayer years ago and still have it. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I was so glad when I saw a new episode from you 😀 I have made the Fern sweater and I used Filcolana Pernilla which is sport/DK weight so I just used a single strand. I made it in a beautiful brownish/grayish colour called oatmeal. I loved knitting it and you will memorize the pattern quickly. One thing I would do differently if I make it again is this: I did a twisted rib like I almost always do because I love the look of that. Usually, I just knit in the back of the knit stitch and then purl the purl stitch normally. But next time I will also purl in the back of the purl stitches so it will look exactly the same on both sides so your rib on the actual turtleneck will look identical to the rib that is beneath the rolled turtleneck . OMG I have read this sentence 10 times over, and in my head it sounds really simple but since English is not my first language it might not to other people 😂 I wish you and your husband and everyone around you a merry christmas and a happy new year. I am currently knitting mittens and I’m thinking of casting on the Champagne cardigan by petit knit. Lots of love from Iceland. 🇮🇸

You are so inspiring how you put so much thought into things and make everything so beautiful. Your home looks dreamy and your panettone idea is one I am stealing! Good idea to keep a spare one around. I do that too with wine for similar reasons. Safe ferry rides (Nantucket looks like lots of beach erosion) and happy happy holidays!

The blue aqua yarn is beautiful. I was watching someone on Instagram said they wind the mohair and the other yarn together so it doesn’t get tangled which sounds like a great idea. Let me know if you ever tried that.
