This live performance from the BUGERA booth at Summer NAMM 2015 features Eric Gales on guitars with special guest Victor Wooten on bass guitar. Recorded live on July 10th, 2015.
Everytime victor would try to get the time signature down, eric would go off time and trust me victor is like a metronome on the bass, and he could not solo cause eric would than be lost !! But that Bugera rig sounded very good victor had his tone even without his Hartke set up ?
Eric overplayed some no doubt but he's one helluva guitarist and he didn't give equal solo time to Victor but that only showed who's more professional as well as discipline these are very important qualities no matter how good of a player you are. I didn't see Victor get pissed off he adapted and played through again a sign of professiolism !
If any of us could play like Eric, we might overplay too! Just sayin'.... Victor is probably used to guitarists soloing endlessly. Wooten has such a great attitude about it all. A very cool and inspirational jam...
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen Eric try and play over the top of victor... or the first time his timing has been worse than a cheap Casio watch from 1982
TO all the sensitive ass musicians crying that Eric didn't play with wooten.... pay attention to the rhythm. notice how Eric is moving with what wooten laid ground to. it stays constant through the song.....
Agreed FrankieStrings.. it was on Victor to take control when had the chance, he seemed timid to me and almost In awe ... and out of his element groove wise... that's just my op...tho it be three years late hahahaha!!!!
+BUGERA WOW It sounds really good! Miss my bugera v22 ! I wish you guys could give me one here in England! I playing in my church with a line 6 flextone 3... My church changed for a huge building so the priorities go for the building needs first so I wont have an amp so soon, If I only had a bugera!
Please check with any of our authorized retailers for pricing and availability of the V22 in your area! www.music-group.com/brand/bugera/store-finder?active=Buy%20now
this is not a Duet. I really like Eric, but he can't play with other musciant. You can see wooten kind of pissed of by the behaviur of Eric. Eric is playng totaly ALONE.
I didn't see where Victor was pissed he was more disciplined and u're right Eric over played he no doubt hogged the set didn't give Victor equal time to solo
That's not true. Victor is an almighty bass player, we all think he is one the best on earth. But Eric play with a guy called Mono neon and you'll see Eric can play with others.copy paste this and be blown away. Mono Neon and Eric Gales Sometimes a star doesn't feel comfortable not been the one stealing the show. But Eric doesn't think he lives in the guitar, so no time to feel bad or moody about anything or anyone. And bass is also not a lead instrument. So can't do those his stuffs too much and spoil the music. Since I don't they rehearsed. They are both fantastic. I would love to see Cory Henry and Eric together. They are both lead kind of instrument, But guitar is still more lead than keys. So you get thew idea.
I think it really all comes together towards the end of this video. I've seen plenty of video of Eric jammin' with all kinds of great musicians and there is no doubt he can play with anyone!
I've heard this jam so many times but to my amazement its always sounds fresh. I suppose its wooten and gales playing together thats keeping it fresh. GREAT PLAYERS one will find no where else.
