This is an amazing rod and I had a blast fishing it, can't wait to get back out there. Let me know what your thoughts are on this rod and how is your fishing in August going?
Looks like a great rod. Those microwave guides were a complaint I had on the 8 foot rod. I gave the rod to my buddy....lol. Thanks for sharing the video Sarge.
Obviously I need to as well. Those were the only hooks I could locate in my boat! ha ha Thanks for watching and commenting and get out there and fish!!!
Alot of crappie stacked up here and catching ton of small ones and few nice ones .the big ones are lazy and i dont blame them its hotter than 400 hells 🙄😁..good show sarge and your growing 👍
Thank you Slab! I tell you, what I did the other day made a difference. I will go ahead and say it because I do not think I have a show out of it, but after I finished fishing the day of this video, I moved somewhere else and tried putting the minnow on the jig head, basically running it up the hook just like it was a jig body. I used a 1/8 oz and started slamming big crappie. 10 foot of water. I might have enough footage to use it, but probably not. Just a little surprising.
No live imaging on my boat so me and my wife usually always fish with slip bobber and minnows. Her's I set up exactly like you had that set up. Mine, I usually always tie a jig head on and sometimes I have plastic and a live minnow on it sometimes just the minnow.
Fishing like this from a boat or sitting on a dock with a straight line is how I grew up fishing. The way you are doing it in many ways is more fun. Keep it up and thanks for watching and your comment.
New sub Crappie chaser from Lake Murray SC. Love your vids... my Stepson currently has a Company Command in the 504th, so AATW Sarge, and Semper Fi! 🇺🇸🙏
Very cool, Thank you for being here. You are in a good area. I have not fishing Lake Murray, but I did go to basic training at Fort Jackson. I have fished Lake Wylie just North, and Hartwell and a few over that direction. Great area. Awesome, tell your Stepson thank you for his service! I appreciate you taking the time to write a comment. I try my best to answer every comment on the page, It may take me a couple days to get to you, but I will. With that said, have a blessed day, I am just about to be on the way to the Lake for a little Thump Therapy! 😀🎣🐟😂
@@AsleepAtTheReel Absolutely, and thank you! I have one of the cork handle 8' ACC's as a go to for slip corking. I think everyone has problems with knot slipping at times, but it does the job better than anything I've tried.... If you think you'll ever get back over this way, give us a yell. We'll go flip some Murray Slabs... Tight Lines! 👍🇺🇸🙏
It totally depends on what you want to do with it. If you are dock shooting, I would say the 6 or 6'6. I absolutely love the 6 ft 1 piece rods for dock shooting. For slip cork, this rod is amazing though, plus it is just a good casting rod as well. Thanks for watching and I look forward to hearing what you decide! 😎
Don't let the video fool you, it has been that way here too. Takes a trip or two to get a video and hard work. They just do not want to bite. Even had a hard time with the minnows.
@@UnLikeU ha ha They are biting, but not like 😂normal. This day it took me about 4 hours to catch 15 and not all were keepers. I am ready for the good bite where they just jump in your boat!
@AsleepAtTheReel Ray Hubbard makes you earned them so when I go to other Lakes it's a field day if I even see fish.🤣 I was on Palestine Monday from 11-6pm and got a Limit. Going back Sunday just to kidnap more. 🤪🤣😁
