Great video, the bridge and station is coming along nicely and the planned walkway from the station adjacent to the bridge is a nice idea. Appreciated seeing it half finished as well, as it gives a good idea of the process involved. I really like the overhead bridge signage structure - I think once you get a set of road signs up on it, it will really look the business. Well done the bargain with that rake of weathered wagons by the way! :) - Sim
It's all looking good, think the large town area is a good idea. I was planning to do some sort of raised town area on Rainsborough Central. Keep up the good work, all the best Mark
Nice work Terry, I think the gantry will come up quite well, it will also look great with the lights! Good that you are full steam ahead again, looking forward to the next one. Cheers, Dan
Great update, bridge looks good a lot of work there. I like the way you tackle layout completing a section at a time then move on to next bit. The TMD area has a good start too, I always like a good TMD layout. The class 37s are great I have a bachmann highland with sound & is my fav loco. Keep up the great work & look forward to nxt update.
I love the TMD in this, it reminds me of the EWS one that used to be up in Buxton about 15 years ago. There wasnt much there, it was just a refueling station, which is/was common..
A great update Terry, I like your frankness with regard to buying trains -- I have been continually doing the same! [Haven't even started to build a layout yet - been promising this for last year & half, I cannot discipline myself...] I think where you have placed the shed is good and I think the one fueling point is good too.. An unusual choice for modelling the station - but good - your scatchbuilding is fantastic....Keep up the good work.....Regards Nigel
Ahh thank you! I was really unsure which to go for, but I think your track looks excellent! Might use that for my layout now! Your layout looks fantastic, can't wait to see more updates!
Another great video update mate. As with all your projects i'm sure the new station will look fantastic when completed. I know what you mean about lack of space, there's never enough room no matter how much stuff you get rid of or move some else, you just keep accumulating more & more. Thank God for patient wives eh! Keep the videos coming, always enjoyable & informative. Cheers Ian.
Hi Terry, Great video, your scratchbuilding skills are amazing! cant wait until the layout is completed. You could get a Cross Country Voyager or a HST for your layout, they would suit very well. Cheers, Elliott :)
Nice update Terry. Always good to see what you are up to. I think we all suffer from the to many locos not enough wagons syndrome LOL. I too have a Railfreight 37 and agree it a fantastic loco. Looking forward to the next update. Regards
Hi Terry, great update, and that 37 looks good with the bachman weathered trucks, the station ares is starting to look, lots of windows so you will need to do something with the inside of that station building, what about some sort of ticket counter, with people behind screens
I pissed myself laughing when you said your wife had given you her disease!! I love that 37. The weathering is eye watering, the rake its pulling looks amazing too. I think its fantastic the way you have created paths with the plasticard. I imagine you living in a world fully constructed with plasticard!!! Well done. Jason.
station is looking good I av a similar problem to many locos but not enough coaches nice update not sure about the gantry if the bridge is two way traffic it could overpower it a bit but I do agree you have only just started it time will tell the layout is starting to come together nice job.
Great ideas mate, look forward to the updates. The fuel point all looks good and so does the station building. I wouldnt change it if i was you. In regards to buying trains, its easier said then done to stop buying them. I have bought a few since my last update. The trouble is that Bachmann/Hornby don't stock them for long enough so you have to buy them soon before the sell out! obviously its a good thing because you have gained a good model, but its also bad because it costs more money!
Like the bridge and station area also like fuelling point weathering looks amazing on the class 37 !! Just bought a class 37 with split head code my first never have enough trains to catch up with my wife's shoe collection let alone the bags either
All starting to take shape in your mind now Terry , really getting those idea`s in to line , like you its been a bit too warm to be doing much these days ,but nice to see you have got the interest back , all looks to be a good plan so far, few months work there for you nice what you have done so far ...Dave
Hi Terry Like the way you've done your paths look great, the bridge is amazing the way you've built it very impressive. Too many shoes and hand bags I know where your coming from mate bloody fall over them here what is it with women ha. Now I've gone DCC I got a fare few redundant locos that would need hard wiring for DCC and I'm not going to do it. So big ideas a head mate will look forward to seeing the layout take shape, the town seems a great idea and a loco depot to can't wait mate. Kev
Hi Terry, Another excellent update as usual ... carry on "babbling" my friend ... you're very good and interesting with the narratives. Kindest regards, STEVIE B.
Another great update, looking good, I sort of agree with you that you may have too many locos, I could help you out there send a few over to me :) Looking forward to your next up date, keep up the good work Al
Great update thanks mate, really enjoyed it. I don't think u waffled at all, very concise and consistent. You've gotta get at least a loop of track operational though!
Awesome update as always Terry, always good to see what youve been upto on your layout bud, The idea of the one engine shed next to the platform works really well and with the rest of the scenery you will add near it will finish that little scene off nicely. I like the new bridge and was that the start of the station in the background next to the bridge? Looking forward to more great work from you Terry. Kind Regards Rob
that is the trouble as they dont stay on the shelf for long and then you end up paying out double if you manage to get your hands on one later down the line.
cheers rob.yes that was the start of the station which i have now just painted and added the windows.just got to ad all the finer detail to it and its nearly done.
hi nigel thanks for the comment.the station is actually based on the hendon station in london and its strange design is what caught my eye.its not a complete replica but have stole lots of ideas from it.i have now painted it and is starting to look really good now. terry
yeah his sounds are the best on the market for sure.do you know if he sells the decoders with the sounds on already or does he just add the sounds to your own chips?
hi kev yeah lots of ideas but so little time and money to get them done. im pleased with the bridge which is now nearing completion along with the station which im scratch building too. another video coming towards the end of the month. terry
You can never have to many loco's. How rude!!!!! Looking good though. The single road shed I would move away from the portal a bit more. However still very impressive layout.
thanks sim yeah im pleased with the bridge so far and its now almost complete along with the station im building with it.not to sure on the over head gantry so i will see what it looks like once i have added the signs to it. terry
Good update...how many locos is that you have now? lol And more improtantly, does the wife know?! I agree with you about Vi Trains, they are no where near the quality of Bachmann 47's!
lol yeah me too bud.i like the split head code 37's and so far only have one in BR blue.not easy to get hold of these days.what livery did you get it in?
Hi terry Bachman just brought out a br blue weathered class 37 got one from Kernow model shop posted a video couple of days ago have a gander cheers kevin
