Ciao everyone! Today I'm sharing my summer wardrobe essentials and how I style them to create interesting outfits. It's easy to get bored with our closet staples but with some styling hacks and tips, we can always fall back in love with our closet.

I've been using native for a couple of years now and love that they now have plastic free packaging. Love this product. It's not sticky like other natural deodorants.

Décontractée! Describes what I go for. Décontractée with an edge. Love all my accessories! I probably have more than 50 belts and 50 scarves. This is after I purged my closet. So not a minimalist. My mother gave me my first Hermès scarf. However, I love your channel because you have collected interesting clothing pieces and I love honing my purchasing skills to only buy what I am going to use a lot and for a long time. Sunglasses! Definitely sunglasses. They can make an outfit so much more chic. I have to add in a kimono here or a duster coat. I just love them for this time of year.

I tend to lean on the practical side with other accessories that aren't jewelry or handbags, and so when I get creative with outfits, I try to mix different colors or prints together that are already in my closet. I very much agree though that belts can make a difference, and so perhaps it's time I look into getting one more that's a bit more slim and delicate. Thank you for the inspiration, Alyssa! 😊

Love your channel. Thank you for all your ideas, most that correlate with many of mine. It’s nice to know that there are still many fashionable ladies not continuously buying trendy and trying to get other people to buy trendy. So many of the women I know are going broke from trying to buy “new trends” every year and then throwing out the stuff that they bought the year before it’s such a waste.

I agreed with you on belts. I talk a lot about belts on my channel as well. They can change an outfit so much. They are cheap, easy to store, travel and if you live in the US, you can get them for under $15 (real leather) made in Italy at TJMaxx. I am also a scarf (mostly winter ones) hoarder but I finally put a stop to it :)

I used to love wearing different sunglasses as a statement. But now that I can’t read a damn thing without prescription glasses, I only ever wear my prescription sunglasses. It feels so limiting. Curse you aging eyes! Great video, thanks 🙏

Something about the baseball cap right now is so on the money. People think I'm much younger than I actually am with it on, too! Very "youthful, yet casual chic". I'm loving it. I also find that having a chain (either has a necklace, bracelet or purse strap) elevates my look somehow. It all feels almost too "insta influencer", but it's so classy.

Lots of great ideas. Performing a similar function to denim shorts, a short or knee length, denim skirt, the stiffness of the fabric allows space between your legs and the fabric to stay cool. Also, easy to change into swimwear on the beach in a skirt!

With our hot and humid weather, I love a silk scarf ‘belt’ instead of leather which is just too hot for me right now! Tried it out just yesterday with a new look and it made all the difference in both comfort and style. Love your videos always learn something new :)

Love this! My essentials used to be midi skirts and dresses. Since becoming a mum it's all about jumpsuits and linen trousers - cool, comfy, easy to run and climb in and I don't have to shave (not quite there with rocking my leg hair yet.) In the same vein of shaving - plain loose tees to go under strappy play/jumpsuits 👌

Perfect 👍 Summer is in full swing in Southern California and it’s also sticky 🥴belts, hats, scarves, sunglasses can be worn on the hottest days but not add to the heat. I have a really cute vintage straw hat and when we take walks I love wearing it. Summer can still be fashion fun with the cool tips you shared. 💗💕💗

Yea I was using Native deodorants for awhile but I had to change that up because it was causing my armpits to become darken and I had gone thru the antiperspirant withdrawals for over a year already. It probably because I am a shaver and it irritates and burn. Wearing my chunky men style sandals are doing it for me this year. I injured my fool the beginning of 2020 and it not really healing where I feel comfortable in my heels, so the chunky soles give me the option of height so not to damage the hems on longer garments by dragging them while walking. My wardrobe essential this summer has been a pair of Croc sandals (flip flop style but cute) that I found at a thrift store. They are black and make every outfit a little nicer because they are super cute! I also just scored an Everyday Twist Top from Encircled at a thrift store...in my size, in perfect shape...for $3.00!!! (These sell for $156) and I believe it will also be a summer (and winter) essential because it can be worn 5 ways and is black and is perfect over a summer dress or as an extra layer in the evenings. Thanks for another great video! (Will also consider the Native deodorant. I have been buying plastic free deodorant for a while now but not always easy to find. This looks great.)

wearing a silk handkerchief in my hair today!!! some of my silk scarves are quite big and kinda take over my small head with fine hair, so for me, a handkerchief wrapped around a messy bun is a better alternative. I haven't worn deodorant for about 10 years, after hearing some disturbing data about it. Luckily I am not a super sweaty person! I spray perfume on my clothes close to my armpits. It seems to work for me!!

I have tried Native deodorant in the past, and while I really enjoyed it, it left marks on my clothes. Did you find this to be the case for you? And if so, how do you go about removing the marks? And now that I think of it, I would love to see a video on how you take care of your clothes (storage, stain removal, maintenance, etc.)!

Hi Jessica! Great question! I meant to mention this - i've never had a stick deodorant that doesn't get on clothes however when this happened with my Native, it came right off just by rubbing the spot with denim or fabric (in the same direction as the fabric). For other deodorant stains that are tough to get off use an unscented baby wipe! Works like a charm! It left marks on my clothes as well! Some of the stains on my lighter workout tanks were hard to get off, of course on black you can't see it but I still stopped using it.

Hi! With Native, less is more. To avoid staining we recommend only using 1-3 swipes under each armpit. Spread the product by rubbing your arms against the sides of your body (in ski formation). This will help make sure that you can fully rub the product into your skin, which will improve performance and reduce transfer to clothing. If you notice any product on your clothes, apply a small amount of soap and try to rub out any product residue before washing and drying. This will avoid any permanent stains!

I love belts and quite honestly have to wear them with most pants else they just fall down. Lol. Big win for me is that I found a couple high waisted pants that I can usually get by with without a belt. I also use those little button pins on my pants if I really dont want a belt. Belts can add a finishing touch. However (Big however) I am only 5 feet tall, short waisted and need to disguise my tummy. At a little over 100 pounds, I still struggle with this figure flaw and belts seem to highlight this.

I wear a ball cap every morning that the sun is out on my way home. I'm too short for the sun visor in my vehicle to block the light unless it's late morning, so my solution is a ball cap and sunnies. They make it possible for me to drive home from work every day during the summer months 😎

Lovely to see you as always. I tend to add a pair of red ballet flats. & I do have a basic red leather bag as I always wear black and neutral. For some reason I love to have hats too... But belts aren't for me lately, as I've gained some weight I can't shed off! It's very frustrating, especially around the waist. I am not over weight, it's just ... areas that I dislike to make it more obvious, so no belts for me for now... haha..😅 ☕🌹

hm I think you can still wear a belt and tuck the shirt in if you want like that look. So many people with all kinds of body types are wearing whatever they feel like now which is amazing. What's important is that you feel good! I would try matching your belt with you pants if you're unsure, or a quasi-tuck is always an interesting way to show the waist a little but not too much! I hope this helps a bit but i'm sure you'll get some great advice from the comments too! :)

Alyssa, does the Native stick leave marks on white clothes? I have so many white shirts and tops and most are stained after one or two wears. I've tried so many different options and every product leaves a nasty grey-ish "halo" under the armpits after just one or two uses that does not come out after washing :/

Hi! To avoid staining we recommend only using 1-3 swipes under each armpit. Spread the product by rubbing your arms against the sides of your body (in ski formation). This will help make sure that you can fully rub the product into your skin, which will improve performance and reduce transfer to clothing. If you notice any product on your clothes, apply a small amount of soap and try to rub out any product residue before washing and drying. This will avoid any permanent stains!

I am happy with Native, I don't stink but I can't stand how much it stains my clothes. It has ruined so many of my tops and dresses. I use a different deodorant if I really love my top or dress, I rather re-apply and not ruin the garment. Does this happen to others??
