WWE SummerSlam 2022 full show review, results, highlights, and livestream post show with JDfromNY on Off The Script. JDfromNY reviews SummerSlam 2022 from Nashville, Tennessee on July 30th, 2022. Triple H leads WWE into his first SummerSlam as Head Of Creative, and it did not disappoint. Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar had one of the craziest matches in WWE, and Bayley returns to confront Bianca Belair but she did not come alone, as Dakota Kai, and Io Shirai have joined Bayley on Monday Night Raw.
Brock Lesnar will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing Match. Becky Lynch will challenge Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women's Championship, and Ronda Rousey will try and get back her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship from Liv Morgan.
Also, Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin, Logan Paul vs The Miz, Bobby Lashley defends the WWE United States Championship against Theory, The Uso's defend the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits with Jeff Jarrett as the Special Guest Referee, and the Mysterio Family (Rey Mysterio & Dominik) will take on The Judgement Dat (Finn Balor & Damien Priest) in a NO DQ Tag Team Match.

For the first time in a long time, I cannot wait to get home from work and watch Monday Night Raw. Man, I almost forget this feeling. It's incredible. It wasn't a perfect show, but it's the same feeling you get when you take a shower after working 12 hours in the fields in 90 degree heat. You feel.... clean. Fresh. Ready for what's next because the filth has been washed off. The only thing that I'm lamenting is that if only this had happened a few months sooner, Triple H would have been able to keep talent like Toni Storm and Claudio on board. But hey, a new era is upon us and I'm ready for it.

It took VKM, Vindictive Killer of Morale, getting caught with his pants down and his check book open to finally get the change we need. VKM supplied AEW with half their roster. It's interesting to see what the war will be now when AEW is full of talent that would have likely stayed if HHH and Steph had been in charge 2 years ago.

What we saw with the Womens division tonight was like night and day: On one hand there is Bayley, Dakota Kai and Io Shirai all together in a stable (....... and yes ..... 🥵🥵🥵 to be fully honest). On the other, Liv gets brought down by the fact her first major title defense is agaisnt an opponent who she can't showcase any proper offense, and on top of that the bad omen of a Charbot advertisement played right after it. It's like the meme template in which a road gets divided into a peaceful gorgeous valley and a grim haunted forest.

Two things from the night. One. Logan Paul is the best celebrity to do this, he still needs work, but this is only his second match and better promos. I feel he's to excited sometimes and talks to fast. He should pace it a little. Just my opinion. And two. I loved the dynamic duo of just Graves and Cole. Those two had my rolling all night on commentary. Hopefully we see more 2 man commentators.

That was a really good summer slam I really enjoyed that last Man standing Match it was good we finally got the return of Bailey and she did not come alone Dakota Kai finally came back triple H really knows how to put up a good show we just got a glimpse of some of that change from Triple H and there is more to come I am now excited to watch Monday night raw and Friday night SmackDown and who could forget the return of edge☺️

As far as the rest of the show: 1) IF the rumors were correct and Brock only did this match out respect that it was already booked, then he went out with an absolute BANG! He and Roman put on an ALL TIMER. 2) STILL NO IC TITLE ON PPV! Last time i saw, it wasn't the Intercontinental TV Title! I know change takes time, but there have been too many PPV's without an IC title match. 3) I am dissapointed they had Double J of all people be a fair referee. Might as well have Ghandi as the special ref. 4) I like the intensity Logan Paul has in his movement. His stance, the way he runs the ropes, etc. It looks like he is always charging up for offense. 5) Yes, Pat McCaffe did better at WM than tonight. One factor being Theory is better than Corbin, and the other is that it seems he got blown up way quicker tonight maybe due to himself or an outside factor like weather. At Mania he looked much more energetic than tonight.

3 -It makes sense that it was Jarrett, they are in Nashville......Jarrett is a legend in Nashville PLUS Jarrett wrestling Flair in Flair supposed last match. They just wanted to do something special and get that cheap hometown pop 5 -The heat was bad and Corbin is a much bigger guy compared to Theory, Cole and those he faced in NXT War Games. So having to carry Corbin to a passable match, yeah...... xD

I think the third person that's going to join Becky and Bianca to go up against Bayley's new faction is probably Asuka which makes the most sense in my opinion because everyone wants to see her versus Io to go at it on the main roster which is going to slap. And I hate to break it to some people who are aew fans but what Triple H is about to do with this women's division is going to put more pressure on Tony Khan to make his women's division better.

I'll give credit yo WWE. Since Wrestlemania they have upped their game every PPV. They may not all be home runs but at leat they are all solid. I wanna start off by commending Triple H. People talk about the original NXT with incredible reverence. But the greatest thing he did was not just give female wrestlers the platform they so desperately needed. But he has treated them with the utmost respect. He never let feel as if they were just filler or T&A. Ok so I'm gonna just focus on the opener because this one has Triple H's fingerprints all over it. And the main event. Great to Bayley back. But even more it was great to finally see Io on the main roster and Dakota Kai as well. You throw in Becky Lynch finally dumping the heel turn and more than likely Asuka joins Bianca &Becky and you have a myriad of combinations to keep the women's fun, fresh, and entertaining for months. I think Triple H saw how the women have been doing the majority of the heavy lifting on RAW and he decided to double down and continue to make them the primary focus of the show. But more importantly than anything. When you combine Becky's face turn with Rousey's heel turn. Hunter is FINALLY going to give us the match we have all wanted since Nia Jax sucker punched Becky Lynch. Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey. No Charlotte Flair being pigeonholed. If done right that match is good enough to main event Night 1 of Wrestlemania. Now onto the main event. For those casual fans who thought Hunter couldn't do an over the top spectacle. Well I hope you like eating crow. That was just insane. I'm not gonna lie, a few more months and I may have to start watching WWE programming.

Over all I loved Logan Paul in his match with the Miz, Roman reigns and Brock Lesnar because they absolutely killed it plus I love when Brock used the forklift to move the wrestling Ring and of course I loved seeing Io Shirai, Bayley and Dakota Kai and how Triple H is giving us little snips of change that we have all yearned for I can't wait for clash at the castle and the Monday Night Raw after Summer Slam. And JD keep your stock in the content creation business rising with those 25,000 views brother.

JD Great video and great review as always, keep up the great work. I thought when the USOs was walking up the aisle, that someone would come out and confront the usos. But that didn't happened. I like the usos but i'm getting tired of them with the tag titles to be honest. Also, I hope and pray that Triple H hears the fans and their reactions to Charlotte Flair and doesn't put her in a title match as soon as she returns. If Triple H really what's to change things make Charlotte work her way to a title shot, not just give her one because she's a flair and as soon as she returns. The logic in having tags in a no DQ match is that anything goes, but you just have to be the legal person tagged in to score a pin fall or submission victory. If you weren’t tagged in you can’t score the pin or submission for the win.

Didn’t really love summerslam that much because they had a lot of problems, but they also did some good things as well, I liked 3 matches, the rest I honestly don’t care that much, and some decisions were pretty stupid. But I’m hoping triple H can do a lot more improvements moving forward

I was very happy to see the failed Chipotle project to be a big F for yesterday's summer slam I don't like theory I know you do JD it's how he got it that's what bothers me he was hand picked by McMahon and I believe that something went on between those 2 Vince was hot for his jock strap and those 2 spent wonderful times together secretly in that damn office I'm sure of it. To me in my view Logan Paul is a better all around athlete showman and this guy if you can keep his head straight we'll get better and he will be a bigger stronger force than theory and that's how I see it you are the absolute top force here on RU-vid. If in years past it was SummerScam, this year it was SummerBland. I agree it wasn't a bad show, i had fun with some matches and segment but for the most part there was nothing special or surprising about this show and some of the booking decisions were utterly perplexing. I hope HHH didn't have much of an hand in it because this felt very much like a Vince McMahon special with the long video packages and the safe route in which every champion won and people with momentum like the Street Profits and Liv Morgan were pulled a rug from under their asses to turn back 10 folds. Triple H has to be better than that because Tony Khan with little experience in the business is running laps around WWE in terms of creative direction and so far the shift has not turned yet

The big question is, will old fans now return back to watching wrestling. The entire sport feeds off of WWE to be honest, if they put out great content it can have a Trickle effect on other organizations. I have to call bull on one thing. It was Edge that ruined Judgment Day. He was the one who didn't like the direction and wanted to go a different way. they pulled him from the group with a senseless betrayal that left him beat up and turning Babyface.
