Was this premastered or post mastering. The song is nice but its sounding a little flat (level not sour) for the theme of a hurricane, totally wanted to spice up the dynamics on that and big it up with more presence and awe. Love the first univibe instance. The snare/tom is sounding great imo. Guitar is really backend on this. Curious if you are trying to do any mixing in a DAW like FL Studio or are you using classic sort of tape / analog setup. You might be able to get a cleaner mix. especially for the second univibe unless you are going for a clashed altrock sort of sound with the second one ie grungier. There are tons of processing plugs that can make the mix cleaner and more plush imo. But I am not really an rock person. Has an authentic sound.
They were raw tracks recorded in 2011 and sent to the mixer inputs. I didn't do any mastering before or after so it's just the sound of the digital tracks being sent individually to the mixers and that audio went straight to the video edit. Try to keep the demonstrations as honest as possible so most of the time the only processing is on my voice mic. I could have put work into making these sound more like the original album mix but it was limited by the setup I was using for the video. I think the original mix of this song was done in the box. I think I've used it in some other mixing or summing videos as well but it might be time to do a full remix.
