One of my sumostance outriggers developed a crack in just 2 months. It’s just dead weight now. A replacement is $200 for just one side, outrageous!!

I am not sure. Was that what our customer experience team told you? And were they able to determine how the outrigger was cracked? I do know that our fiberglass products have a one year limited warranty.

The problem with Little Giant ladders is that they don't stand behind their products. I bought their extension ladder with the sumo stance for work. It was great at first. the outriggers allowed me to reach and work at heights that would feel a bit unstable with my Werner ladder especially on uneven terrain. After a year the sumo stance outrigger wouldn't lock into place making the entire ladder unusable. Contacted support they wanted pictures so I sent em then they wanted a video of the failed outrigger in action so i sent them. After a couple of weeks of this they told me they wouldn't fix it and to buy a new one. At $800 to work for only a year? I'm going back to Werner it's cheaper and will last me 10Yrs plus. Buying a Little Giant extension ladder proved to be a waste of my money and my time and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

What is the justification to charge nearly half the value of the entire ladder for one single part? I’d feel more confident replacing both outriggers but it’s over $400 for the kit, insane!

I work as a cable tech and use a 28' ladder to place on poles and mid span wires. I love the cable claws on your product. I am looking at two of your ladders and wanted to know which one you would think would work best for my job. The somostance demoed on this video, or the hyperlite with ratcheting levelers. Thanks in advance for your response.

We've seen cable companies that have different preferences. However, my personal preference is the Sumostance because I like the wide base it creates.

@littlegiantladders are there accessories available for this new version of the SumoStance? I just bought (but haven't received it yet) the 28ft IAA w/ hooks (17628) and I would like to add a walkthrough, do you sell one? If not, would the Guardian Fall Protection 10800 Safe-T Ladder Extension System be compatible? Also, I would like to add some standoffs, do you have compatible ones for sale? I'm looking for something similar to the LEVELOK Open Rung Standout Bracket Silicone Elbows which unfortunately won't work with this new version of the SumoStance.

2:12 It may be the ingestion of a large quantity of mushrooms earlier this evening, but I'm fairly certain the 75 degree indicator goes on the other side.. Also, when can I get a green, fibre glass Conquest ladder in the UK? Not the AT version, just want the standard ones. tyvm, carry on.

you are correct haha - the 75º angle is from the ground to the ladder underneath it, not the obtuse angle in the video :D Good catch!

Will the red ladder walkthroughs be able to be attached to this ladder? Also hearing alot about ladder mitt issues ( traditional ladder mitts dont fit) please chime in

The existing walkthroughs (that could attach at the end with little hooks) don't work on the Hyperlite or Sumostance - and traditional Ladder Mitts don't fit. I wish I could give a timeline on when things like that will be introduced, but I can't. It is definitely on our radar.

2:13 The 75deg looks more like a 105deg.

You're right, that's clearly an obtuse angle :D It should be ~75.5 from the ground to the ladder from the direction it's leaning like this: i.imgur.com/s0uXRW1.png but it can be a little complicated for people to measure in real life - so we have a bubble level on the side that makes it easy to ensure you're at the correct leaning angle. Also recommended to do the "fireman's stance" where you put your arms out from shoulder length and they should line up and just rest your hands on the rung directly in front of you. For ladders without a bubble level, we also recommend an App from NIOSH (the OSHA folks) called "LadderSafety" - you lean your phone on the ladder and it tells you if you're at the right angle or not.

How about making ladder boots/mitts to fit the wider ladder and a wingspan as well since you guys made the ladder wider and nothing fits on it.

whoever made this video has no sense. We want to see the whole ladder from top to bottom in one shot, in a work environment (not the twilight zone) with someone climbing to the top. Then go over the set up process. Sorry but this video is not satisfying.
