Thanks just bought the 10 for my husband, he should have fun with it. We are surrounded by trees and most need trimming. I will hav him watch this great video after Christmas. Ty
I bought one and it's worth the money, but the bar retention knob is useless with gloves and easily loosens. Other models have a hex nut which is far better. They could have included a knob with finger detents for the same price, or a simple metal wing nut. Keep your knob secure or the bar will loosen and throw the chain. Decent power, dirt cheap, does the job.
The carry case will not fit the entire saw as shown, you must remove bar and chain. After trying mine several different ways, contacted sunjoe and was told that you must remove bar and chain and it states that on it's website. And I only have a 8inch size bar. So it bought this bag figuring it would work fine. But sunjoe says that this is the proper bag for my unit and is the only size they sell. Just an FYI. Not sure if video actually showing bag in description.
Please make sure you are correct before saying something will not work the way I have demoed it. The way I demo this model saw it fits in the carry bag with everything attached just fine. The model number of my saw is in the title, it's the 803E. The website says: "The Carry + Storage bag is compatible with the following Sun Joe Pole Chain Saw models; SWJ800E, SWJ803E, SWJ805E, SWJ806E, SWJ807E. It can also store the following models when the bar is detached: SWJ802E, iON8PS2." I'm guessing you have the SWJ802E or iON8PS2 which are not the saws I am reviewing in this video with the carry bag. Thanks for watching.
You are correct. My model is the swj802e. Which is different from your model swj803e. As you can see the model numbers are very close. I made the incorrect assumption that it would fit being a smaller bar and chain and missed that note on the website. I thought your video was very good and you did a good job in showing the product . So much so that I did purchase and have found it to be a good addition to my tools shed in dealing with palm trees. Thanks for the clarification love the saw.
Thanks Tony, and I appreciate the nice words. Enjoy. I just reviewed their new cordless pressure washer too. It's really awesome. Kinda expensive but I've used it about a dozen times since the review since it's so convenient.
it is heavy, I think they advertise "let the weight do the work"......and it felt like a sharp strong saw to me but I haven't used it hard yet.........I wonder if the stud screw will be the vulnerable part
someone that owns one.....you are better off with two separate saws.....they are cheap enough and you don't have to fiddle around with it to change it around.......imagine it as a chinese pc of crap you wish you had not bothered with.......and they vibrate the bolts loose........they are crap.........the 10"sunjoes are nice......heavy but that is a good thing.....the weight helps it saw good
@@commonconservative7551 - this is a review of 10" sunjoes. You both say they are crap and they are nice?!? I do own one and use it a lot. I would recommend it for it performance vs cost. I have no issue with vibration at all. They great for trimming trees then taking the piled brush and reaching into it with the polesaw and cutting it into cubes for easy transport. Try doing that with a normal chainsaw. The tilting head let's you rest it on top of a branch upto 10' high and let gravity do the work. Try that with a regular chain saw.
