Brilliant video - I'm loving seeing around this ship! I do wish that the pandemic had forced more cruise lines to go for those automatic door openers/closers on the toilets. The best adoption of this I've seen was from Costa - they seemed to love people not touching doors (which I loved too, ha!). The overall finish on here looks absolutely stunning - very unlike any other ship - the arena entrance looks beautiful!

Delifghtful!! Gret tip and very entertaining. When is the best time to bok the cruise for the best pricing. One month, two months, or more before it sets sail?
Thank you Pamela, so glad you enjoyed it. The best time to book, is the million dollar question. Generally speaking, the cheapest time is when they first go on sail, and Princess themselves have reiterated this. However you can get similar pricing or additional things thrown in (such as On Board Credit or Drinks Packages) during sale periods such as Black Friday and Wave Season (Start of January for about a month). But really it is just a case of keeping your eyes peeled and booking when it is right for you.
I worked on Carnival for a number of years. Six to eight month contracts. My advice to cruisers, buy good travel/health insurance. The times we had to divert to another country or had the US Coastguard winch passengers off the back of the ship!!! People pass away on cruise ships so travel insurance is a must especially if you're an older person!!! Apart from that it's great fun, the ships now look fantastic although five thousand passengers? 😱 Two thousand five hundred when I worked on Carnival and that was enough volume for anybody. Although working on them is different too cruising on them!!!
Hi Richard, it must have been such interesting time working on Carnival and we are sure you have plenty of interesting stories to tell :) Whilst the number of passengers has changed massively since the launch of ships such as Oasis of the Seas, some cruise lines, Royal & Princess, seem to have mastered dispersing those numbers well around the ship, and they often seem quieter, even at full capacity than some of those smaller older ships do. But from a crew perspective we are sure it is a VERY different thing. Linzi & Mark
I totally agree to purchase travel insurance. I have seen so many stories of people that have accidents ashore and onboard and even passengers that passed away, and the families have no travel insurance. It may cost over $25,000 to transfer a body back to their country. I am a travel agent and I always travel with insurance. It is not expensive at all. Thank you so much for this video. It is so well thought out and presents so many very "totally useful" and helpful tips. We are booked on the Sun Princess for 14 days on it's first Caribbean voyage later this year. I have a question if you can help. We are interested in booking the "Sanctuary" and you provided great info on this. I missed the tip on the best way to book. When I called Princess that couldn't tell me, imagine. When I board do I go straight to the DECK with the Sanctuary or go to Guest Services desk? If I book multiple days and wish to cancel a day in advance can I do this and not be charged? We are almost full retired and "older" but not "old" and feel that we can greatly benefit from some super relaxing time in the Sanctuary. You have a wonderful presentation style with the information in your video, not too much and not too little, but just right. Thanks.

We've plenty more Sun Princess stuff coming too, it's our ship tour this weekend, excuse the shameless plug 😂 You just go to deck 18 (go to the rear elevators) or the glass elevator in the Wake area to get there easy. You book there. Not guest services and based on experience make it your first stop as in good weather cruises it will sell out. Remember you can get on Princess earlier than a lot of other cruise lines too, so make the most of that. Yes you can book multiple days and as long as you give 24hrs notice to cancel they won't charge you. At the time we went on they weren't offering full cruise length packages, which historically were much cheaper but you can't cancel individual days. It is so relaxing in there and we will have our Sanctuary and Enclave review up in a few weeks but as a bit of a spoiler. Book it 😂 Hope this helps Linzi and Mark

Hi Linda, no, if you have one of the new Sanctuary mini suites (which didn't exists four months ago when we filmed this) then you do not pay for the Sanctuary, in fact it is just for Sanctuary class, and suites going forward, no one else can pay to get in. So it has become a ship within a ship area like MSC & NCL have too.
I am on deck …14….. 3/22/25 for the 21 day transatlantic. Can you go down to the wakeview terrace on that elevator you were on from deck 14? Thank you so much for these insights🚢🙂
You are very welcome. And yes. If you walk all the way to the back of the deck 14 you can get the glass elevator down to the Wake Bar and Pool area. Have a fantastic time on the 21 day. That will be an amazing length of time to really experience the ship fully. Make sure to book Spellbound if you are even a tiny bit interested in it. It's amazing.
We certainley can. The Aperol Cocunut Margarita, and the Strawberries & Cream in the Seaview Bar are lovely. Cello Drop in Alfredos and Under The Mango Tree in O'Malleys spring to mind.
Hi Ken. When you see our full review in a few weeks you'll see the cushions. And they are thicker than other Sanctuaries we've been in (Regal and Enchanted). Only the pool adjacent plastic curved chairs don't have them. All the loungers and beds do. They don't put them on the ones on the edge of the area unless it's busy we were told.
Only on the suite level is the laundry free. Everyone else i believe has to pay for both machine and detergent. That is what i have seen in other places.
That's interesting Brian. We've heard rumours that they are considering charging in the future but certainly on our cruise all of the laundry's were free to everyone. It could well be another part of the ship being finished that isn't done yet? Looking at our footage there doesn't appear to be any ability to put a token in or charge to your medallion on the machines and no vending in place for the detergents either yet. Fingers crossed they keep it free 🤞

Hi Guys ,As a plumber of over 50 years , i have never seen such a rubbish tap as in the washroom , , I give it a month before its broken , the sensor will get coverd in soap and stuff and fail to dispense the soap Ha Ha Lol that tap must of cost £400 +
They have a paddle head rest? Yeah a towel could do the same thing. Again, you are so exhaustively over excited, that you are not believable. Act like you’ve been on a cruise before.
This is a brand new ship and it is the biggest for Princess. There is excitement among cruisers, travel agents and all bloggers. It is a reason to be EXCITED!!!
