Richard Dominick is a truly funny and successful dead pan comic and writer. He’s made a mint as producer of the Jerry Springer Show and the Steve Wilkos Show

A great, forgotten (mostly) gem. I thought he must have been one of the staff doing a recurring bit but apparently not. He was so quick with his explanations, it seemed he must have known what Dave would be asking about.

This episode was one of the first ones I ever recorded. I Remember laughing my butt off the entire time.

This is why late night talk shows were solid gold back in the day. Pure entertainment and top notch comedy.

What kills me is that even after all of these appearances the circulation never went beyond 600,000.

I will always remember the toaster that was possessed by the devil.

This guy is the real life version of that Jon Lovitz character who always says " Yeah thats the ticket!"

Oh my! His seriousness speaking about the articles is quite convincing...made me think "maybe they were really true."

This is unbelievable. And with a totally straight face. It's a gift, I tell ya.

Richard's got a Wikipedia page- he went on to executive-produce the Jerry Springer Show for 18 years.

Wikipedia mentioned that also wrote jokes for Jay Leno and produced a show called Hardcore Pawn.

I know Dominick is intentionally deadpan, but he also seems bereft of a real sense of humor or personality.
