People asked what is the benefit, in my opinion this is NOT planned obsolescence. And this alone makes it more worthy of our attention, This is a product YOU have control over, you have more choices here and this is something that will get getter with time rather than be purposely bypassed and left behind. And it is repairable, and you can probably stock up on spare parts at cost rather than relying on rare parts dealers and such after the name brand moves on to Mk100000.
I've used it as an expander and effects processor most of the time, as the sequencer in the current OS really is a bit finicky. But in this development version here, there's swiping and pinch-zooming in the piano roll, which is a big step forward in usability. I can see myself using this more in the future.
