I ran a forwarder for a while. Your not only a logger/machine operator, you're also a mechanic....A HALF MILE PLUS DEEP IN THE TIMBER! Parts are hard to come by in field... - - RESPECT to all foresters!

Right on. Yup, you have to be able to do a little bit of everything running Buncher. Maybe that's the reason I love it. Thanks for watching, and the comment.

I can remember that in emergancy Situationen my dad used to weld the bolts on but only if we had no other way to go good Video 👍

Copy that. I've had to weld the master pin in too in that same kinda situation! Basically when it's scrap but you need to keep it going a little longer til you can fix it right. Glad you liked it, thanks for watching and for the comment.

Milwaukee is a must have in the woods👍 I need the 1inch. No impact can keep pads tight, job well done ..

Hey thank you. I have had a couple of 1/2" Milwaukee guns, one got stolen along with the rest of my Milwaukee tools a while ago. Thieves. I replaced them all and recently went with the 3/4" over the 1"' mainly 'cause it is more compact, I'm running out of room! It hits almost as hard as the 1", plus I already have a full set of 3/4 impact sockets. Probably have a 1" sometime anyhow, you know how it is. The two pads that loosened up and I put new bolts on have held up tight, that torque to yield is the way to go. Thanks for the comment, Good cuttin to ya!

You called that right. I ended up using both 3 foot pieces of cheater pipe on the 1 inch Proto breaker bar. The 3 footers fit sideways in my big tool compartment and the 1" fits inside the 1-1/2". Works good for times like this when I needed all that and a little more. Ended up with almost 8 feet. I'm with you on your dad too, but in my case it would be how my Grandad would have done it! No sense doing it halfway and having to do it again, right? Thanks for watching and the comment, we appreciate it.

Hey, thanks. I get a lot out of watching videos if I haven't done something, so I like to put it out there if I can do the same. Glad you like it. Like I say on the video, I've done two of these now, one on each side. The one I did in the vid has over 500 hours on it now and is still tight, as is the other. So I'm hoping it will stay tight. That Torque to yield is the ticket I'm thinking, it was new to me. Good trick to have up your sleeve! Thanks for the comment!

Dan Becker I have both gun's and there are great . I used my 1inch gun and changed all the track pads on a D7R and there 63 pads per track

Right on. That's a serious recommendation! Over 500 bolts is a project for sure. I'm lucky to have been able to borrow both and try them out. I love my 1/2" gun, it's done a tremendous amount of hard labor. I ended up getting the 3/4, I don't have as much need for the 1 inch, don't have 1 inch impact sockets, and the 1" is a little bigger physically than the 3/4 so it wouldn't fit where I needed to store it. Running out of room - you know how that is probably! I found that the 3/4 hit close to as hard as the 1. But close isn't enough sometimes, right? Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the info, be safe out there!

The 3/4 is powerful. One of the few Milwaukees I had to replace because of breakage. The 1” gun, short anvil, non pistol grip style is very powerful but need to run 12 amp/hr batt and have nice tight sockets to get full benefit.

Hey, thanks for replying. When an impact is powerful enough to wear itself out, that says something. I ended up going with the 3/4 for now. Mainly cause I already have a complete set of 3/4 impact sockets. The 1" is a little bigger too, I'm gettting kinda short on real estate in the truck! I think you really have to have the 12 AH battery with these big ones to get the max performance out of them. That's a good reminder you make though about tight sockets if you are really up against it, sometimes you only have one shot, right? Thanks for the comment and for watching, we appreciate it. Be safe!

Here is something i was thinking about today i have a 1" torque wrench thats like super long and to be honest some people asked me why its that long well if you have to tight such bolts down you realy need all the lenght you can get 👍👍
@thedailylogger
@thedailylogger 2 года назад
Yeah, that's the truth. With both my cheater pipes on my 1" drive breaker bar I had 8 feet on those and I needed every bit to get that 1/3 turn. Would have been a good app for my torque multiplier, but no easy way to secure the energy bar. That is a common issue for me with trying to use the torque multiplier. Thanks for the comment, be safe!

I’ve got the Milwaukee 3/4 gun, not real impressed . The big Milwaukee 1/2 gun seems to do just as good or better.

The 3/4 and 1/2 are the same gun just different anvil, the 1 inch guns are different wether the pistol grip or d handle

I ended up picking up the 3/4 and a 12 AH battery. I'm pretty impressed using it so far. All in all it was the best choice for me right now and my experience borrowing the 1 and the 3/4 was that the 3/4 hit close to as hard as the 1. Main thing is that I don't currently have 1 in impact sockets. Wouldn't surprise me too much if I end up getting the 1 inch at some point anyhow! You can't have too many good tools, right? Any way you look at it these Milwaukees are awesome in my book. I can remember when they first started coming out I was like, man, those will never hold up. Now we'd all be lost without them. Hey, thanks for the comment, appreciate the feedback. Be safe!

Copy. I think of that as a last resort though. Means you have to cut them off or scrap it. Not to say I haven't done that on stuff though! Thanks for the comment.

Right on. That's what I went with, the 3/4" high output. Using the two I was able to borrow a couple of times it seemed to me that the 3/4 gun hit almost as hard as the 1". I had some other reasons that helped steer me that way, but thanks for the feedback and info, I appreciate it. Thanks also for watching. Are you in the Timber industry in the U.K. or a related field? Either way, thanks, be safe!
