I love 💕 your videos and you're one of my favorite dermatologist and I trust your judgement in the skin care for people of color. The Skin Spot has amazing products and I just love my silk pillow that I bought from your site that helps you sleep and wake up super comfortably and refreshed, without having to worry about sleep wrinkles. I was just curious about this derma roller because I hear some say from time to time that derma rollers are bad because when rolled against the skin, they create micro tears in the skin as opposed to using a derma pen, which a dermatologist can just gently stamp or create straight punches and punctures all over the skin without dragging and tearing the skin. Is there any truth to the derma rollers tearing the skin, and if so, it's a good thing right? Whether it tears the skin or creates any type of puncture, I would assume that it would still send signals to create more collagen and help send healing properties and enhance the area that was worked on with way. Also, is there a benefit to one technique over the other?

As long as the rollers are short enough with their needle length, you are fine. I wouldn't go above 0.5 or 1mm at home use and make sure you sterile with alcohol before and after use.
