Amen! My mom, after having a heart attack and stroke at age 87, passed away Oct 17 2022. Like your's mom was an awesome do it all mother. Her last words were " Pease , Jesus, I'm ready!" ........ No doubt she was! I miss her, but i know I'll see her again. Thanks DD Awesome show!

Yes, what a wonderful morning here in Michigan watching Doyle & his sister with their beautiful Mom. My Mom passed away 7 years ago but I feel that she's still with me while I spend Mother's day morning with Doyle's family.

That was absolutely a beautiful string along. To see your beautiful mother sing like that at 96 just brought tears to my eyes. I lost my mother April of 2023 and she could sing like a bird as well. Brought back fond memories. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms in your family! God bless you all!
Oh my oh my, what a wonderful Stringalong! I found myself quite tearful listening…..and when Mom, Heidi and Doyle sang together!!!! Mom’s voice, for an 94/96-year old is astonishing, and matches her legacy to the Doyle family. My own family are like that…..my own Mum(UK speak!) passed in 2020 aged 100…..and left behind such a valuable legacy of faith and reliability of which we are now the beneficiaries. I’ve now turned 80, the elder member…..what will I leave? Mom Doyle, the bar you’ve left is high, but all the praise and glory goes to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Those of you who are younger, build your families on the firm foundation of Jesus and His Word, there’s nothing better! As ever, thanks Doyle from across the Pond!🙏✝️

God is good and loves everybody, especially mothers. My mother passed in 1979 and my mother in law in 2012 but both are happier than ever with The Lord and very alive in my heart. My wife, love of my life, is with me and serves The Lord with all of her heart. Happy mother's day!

I loved the song about hearing mother pray again. My father is 100, and I dread the day I’ll get that phone call that he has gone to join Mom. But for now, we’re glad he’s hanging around. I just finished watching, and I'm feeling the love that Doyle and Heidi have for Martha. My mommy is ten years gone to heaven (Charlotte 75 years), and it was so good to see and feel the love that you have for one another. God bless you and your family, Doyle. I absolutely love Sundays with you, and especially today with your momma. We lost our mother when she was 75 years old. I have so many precious memories of her, and many regrets, such is life. I've had 10 years of Mother's Days without her on earth, but I will see her in paradise.

Such a blessing to finally see your precious mother. I too, was able to take my guitar down on Mother's Day, to visit with my mama (88 y.o. next month), and sing a few of her favorite songs. She was the one who I first learned how to sing harmony from. Many nights, as just a little boy, I went to sleep listening to WSM, the Grand Ole Opry! We are blessed to still have our mothers with us, my brother.
I came for the guitar playing, stayed for the wonderful dedication to your precious mother and the wonderful words of our savior Jesus Christ. I’m a guitar player and a fan of yours but this video became much more than music and it touched me very much, beautiful family. Your mother is precious. This beings back so many memories of my mother. I remember playing guitar for her while she was in a hospice. I still miss her.
At the 25:31 mark Heidi warms our hearts with love for Doyle and her 'Nana' as “Matriarch of the family, just holding us all together. Whenever I've been nervous, or anxious or have something to pray about, I go straight to her - always! I feel like you have a 'wireless' direct line to God!” Heidi's words bring the most beautiful smile of the day to her grandmother. Deepest thanks to Heidi and to Doyle for sharing. What a special tribute to your Mom. When she talked about working in the cotton patch and hoeing Peanuts, it hit home. I was raised on the farm here in Caddo County Oklahoma, and spent many hours chopping and pulling cotton. At one time here we were the Peanut Capital of the nation. My Mom sang with a Trio in our church until she had a stroke. Moms are great.

I must say, that is the best Sunday string along I’ve witnessed to date. Faith, family and friends. It’s not about us. It’s about what God can do through us for others. Never heard of this guy before just popped up on my feed, it's just wonderful! Growing up my dad played a record called Chester and Lester and I just loved it it reminds me so much of those times. That's just awesome, God bless his mother and his family!
Chet Atkins ( Chester ) and Les Paul ( Lester ) released two albums together in 1976 & 1978 or nine. I was only 17 but already a big fan of both of them. Your Dad has good musical taste.

Happy Mother's Day to both of the Mrs. Dykes, Heidi, Holli, and Haley. I had an early Mother's Day last weekend in California with our Son which was very nice indeed. I am happy to say that my late Mother, Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers were all Christians and resting in the arms of our Savior. I think all three of you sang beautifully today! So happy your wonderful Mother was able to be with you! She's a peach! Such a great testimony of a Christian life. Thanks for that Billy Sunday quote. One of my former pastors wrote a terrific biography of Billy Sunday and made it into a film. Billy Sunday was an amazing evangelist.

Oh, how precious! You truly have a wonderful, godly mother! I did too. She’s been in heaven 56 years and I miss her, so. You mentioned fishing out toward Mayport. When we lived there, we went out Heckshire Drive and fished for trout off the bridges! Sweet memories! ❤❤❤
Your wonderful music, stories and especially Mom's prayer was a great blessing to me, Doyle, as I am ìll, cannot walk and need healing. May God continue to bless you and your wonderful family, especially your Mom, on her special day. My mom and I took a trip from NY to PA to see you and Haley perform in a small musical instrument shop there. It was a truly wonderful experience and great blessing to us! Mom loved it, as your guitar style reminded her so much of her love of ragtime piano, which she, herself, played back in the day. We met you after the show and you were so gracious & kind with your time and conversation. I totally agree as I have seen many of Doyle's videos but even with it's poor sound quality of low volume and raspy voices it was still the best String Along yet !
