high pitch sound is the power supply, they make that sound when there underpowered while caps are building a charge my exile 2.5k did that before i beefed up power storage
Guy that does bare vids channel said it was the transformer is just a lil loose.🤷♂️ he said it'd be fine, but I could glue it down some more. But it's just sitting in a box in my basement so I haven't messed w it.
Oh yeah man they're gorgeous! I can't wait to get them in and put some real power to em. Sucks the biggest I can go is 12s tho. But if I place them right, I may beable to build a 4th order box in my trunk that will fit 3. So may have another one coming in my future.
@@1ohmwrecker haven't got my enclosure built yet, but it's getting started this week. I'm only going to be running a pair of T2500.1bdcp's, one to each X. Hoping they'll do good enough. Not trying to buy amps again lol

I know im late but that “anchor” your talking about is for production time saves. They glue the spider and surround and anchor them down and ship them out so they dont have to put clamps on it to hold the parts down and wait for the glue to dry. No advantage from that just production time saves.

I just bought 2 1ohms put em on 2 smart 3s got em for 549 from d4s super nice little expensive but a recone is only 160 so I beat the shhh out em they love it lol
The xv3 has a beefier 4 layer flatwound coil unlike the xv2 they have the regular round wire coil good thing on both xv2 and xv3 if u blow em u can get a custom 8 layer flatwound coil which is from the zv6 straight beasty coil u can get em at car audio bargain I'm fixing to order a xv3 18 from them that has nsv4 spider pack and zv6 flatwound coil in it for 544 not bad so the rms is like 2500 rms probably more since they conservatively rate them nice video srry for long comment just thought id help explain
Can you please do me a favor and measure what the mounting depth is to the lip of the basket? It says 9.67" online but that's the same as the v2 and this one sits noticeably higher. Thank you!
They're almost 11 inches deep I'm pretty sure? I measured when I first got them but I forgot. When I take em back out ill look. But they're 70lbs each so I try not to lol.

Yeah they were built nice. One of them has pitting in the aluminum casting in couple places. Yes there's clamp rings around the spider and the surround. No USA sticker tho.🤷♂️ and no decals in the boxes.
I have a pair of those they are in a 6.cub box with a bass 8k taramps on it they are dual twos? I'm running them at 2ohms and they are loud and the bass is low they can handle more power but there is no need it's just a daily driving
I got dual 1 ohm subs. And if I buy another smart bass 5k I could wire 1 to each Amp at half ohm😳 just a thought. But I'm probably just gonna buy a Korean 8k here by slamology.🤷♂️
@Scott Wright🔊 Does Korean amplifiers suck a lot of current compared to taramps the reason I like taramps is the clip indicator is very sensitive you won't burn your subwoofers up when those Korean amplifiers start to clip your coils are smelling the majority of the time that's the only way they produce a lot of power I would go with a incriminate amplifier? They don't take up a lot of room like the sundowns salt series I have two jp23 amplifiers but they are not strong enough for the sundown xv3 12s try the jp63 or orion 5500 that should be plenty of power
@Cecil Jones and them incriminator ones are hella expensive tho. I was thinking jp83, but I hate the green lol. Or a Surge Audio 10k if u know bout that? Maybe the deaf bounce aak 8k or whatever they're called? Maybe a salt 8k? But I'm still contemplating. The cheapest option would be another Amp like I got at .5 ohm each? The amps stable for it. And they're only like $600 lol. But, I wanna go Korean. Just kinda bored w it. I love tramps tho! They even follow me on tiktok lol. I like the support from the companiesi buy from, ya know? They told me they're coming out with a smart 8k here soon too which is dope!
@Scott Wright🔊 I'm running my bass 8k at 2ohms right now I just bought a 2021 kia soul I had two fi hc 15s and was running them at a half ohm and it was too much for that car I didn't want to tear anything up so I have the sundowns at 2ohms and it is still terrible
Subs don't matter so much, it's the power. And wiring, alternator, and amplifier power all come into effect. Two yellow tops with good wiring and stock electrical will support 2500-3000 watts tops.
@@bh_rob5532 I've got a smart bass 5k that is .5 ohm stable running them. They're about maxed out. I'm not tryna push em to absolute limits. I talked to the guy that does the facekicker dyno videos and asked him if I should get smart 5k or bass 8k and he's the one that told me I'd get most out of the smart bass 5k. So that's what I went with. Figured I'd listen to the guys that dyno thousands of amps🤷♂️
@@bh_rob5532 not all full bridge give the most at 2 ohm anyways? Only the smart taramps, JL Audio slash series, etc. At 2 ohm on a bass 8k you're only gonna get 5k tops. But if you wire to .5 ohm or 1 ohm on the smart 5k, you rise into the 2 ohm area, you'll still see the 5k+ and more stable.
@@1ohmwrecker yeah I’ve seen an 8k do over 6k with the impedance, but hey to each it’s own, I’m not a fan of the full bridge anyway, running my single zv6 12 off a salt 4, half bridge all the way for me
Hey bro taramp only have one rca input that at the top . The bottom is out put to other amp. I see yuu oh have both rca plugged in . Not good for the amp
@@bdc211 I usually connect both in the radio/LOC and put shrink wrap over the other end n let it chill. Just incase the rca starts going out for some crazy reason, you can just use the shrunk wrapped one and not have to tear stuff apart again to connect it. That's what I do.🤷♂️
@@1ohmwrecker i was just looking at a two to one, but seems thats for splitting one to two, and not merging 2 to 1.. i wonder if using one backwards would mess with input voltage.. i have questions now lol.. i just bought a smart3bass....
