You say "It is forbidden to build mosques over the graves" Please comment on Masjid Nabawi in Madina Al-Munawwara. Can you kindly tell me whose grave is within the Masjid? And numerous other Masajid which are built around and over the graves of pious Muslims. Maybe you should clear the dust from your one eye.

I applied for Madinah when I was a new Muslim. I didn't get accepted. The salafi dawah messed up my life. I left Islam for good amount of time.

Tafsir Number 11 Mullah Ali Qari (Rehmatullah Alaih) writes: أما من اتخذ مسجدا في جوار صالح أو صلى في مقبرة وقصد الإستظهار بروحه أو وصول أثر ما من أثر عبادته إليه لا للتعظيم له والتوجه نحوه فلا حرج عليه ألا ترى أن مرقد إسماعيل عليه السلام في المسجد الحرام عند الحطيم ثم أن ذلك المسجد أفضل مكان يتحرى المصلى لصلاته والنهي عن الصلاة في المقابر مختص بالقبور المنبوشة لما فيها من النجاسة كذا ذكره الطيبي وذكر غيره أن صورة قبر إسماعيل عليه السلام في الحجر تحت الميزاب وإن في الحطيم بين الحجر الأسود وزمزم قبر سبعين نبيا Translation: Anyone who builds a mosque near the grave of an upright person or prays in the tomb (Maqbara) or intends to ask for help through the Ruh of that upright person or intends to seek barakah from his left overs, If he does all that without the intention of giving him Tazeem or doing tawajuh towards him ( in prayer) “Then there is nothing wrong in that, don’t you see that Grave of Hadrat Ismail(A.S) is inside the Masjid ul Harram near the hateem and to Pray there is Superior than anything else ” however to pray near the graves is only forbidden when the soil becomes dirty because of Najasat of deceased… In the Hateem near Hajr al Aswad and Mizaab there are “Graves of 70 Prophets” [Mirqat, Sharh al Mishqaat, Volume No. 2, Page No. 202] Mullah Ali Qari (Rehmatullah Alaih) also said: وقد أباح السلف البناء على قبر المشايخ والعلماء المشهورين ليزورهم الناس ويستريحوا بالجلوس فيه Translation: The early Muslims (Salaf) have considered it Mubah (i.e. allowed) to build over the graves of famous Mashaikh and Ulama so that people can visit them and sit there (easily) [Mirqaat Sharh al Misshqaat, Volume No. 4, Page No. 69] So Indeed the Prophets, Mashaikh and Saliheen do not come under the prohibition because the grave of Prophet (Peace be upon him), Abu Bakr (Radhi’Allah anho), Umar (Radhi’Allah anho) and many other Prophets and Saliheen have remained “BUILT OVER” Tafsir Number 12 Ibn khatir in his tafsir writes. م { قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُواْ عَلَىٰ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ مَّسْجِدًا } حكى ابن جرير في القائلين ذلك قولين: [أحدهما] أنهم المسلمون منهم. Translation: “When the people of the cave went into the cave, some people close to the entrance of the cave said, ‘Build a mosque so we can worship Allah.’ The people who said this were Muslims” [Tafsir Tabari, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Sura al-Kahf, verse 21] Tafsir Number 13 The famous commentator of Sahih Bukhari and leading scholar in sight of Sunnis and Salafis/wahabisies. However, if someoneconstructs a mosque near the grave of a pious person for the prupose of seeking tabarruk and not for prostration or paying attention towards them, he will never be included in this prohibition. (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 23, Number 452) Hadith #2 "On the day of Badr, the Prophet ordered that the corpses of twenty four leaders of Quraish should be thrown into one of the dirty dry wells of Badr. When he halted at the edge of the well, he addressed the corpses of the Quraish infidels by their names and their fathers' names, "O so-and-so, son of so-and-so and O so-and-so, son of so-and-so! Would it have pleased you if you had obeyed Allah and His Apostle? We have found true what our Lord promised us. Have you too found true what your Lord promised you? "'Umar said, "O Allah's Apostle! You are speaking to bodies that have no souls!" Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, you do not hear, what I say better than they do." Hadith #3 Narrated Ibn Shihab: , These were the battles of Allah's Apostle (which he fought), and while mentioning (the Badr battle) he said, "While the corpses of the pagans were being thrown into the well, Allah's Apostle said (to them), 'Have you found what your Lord promised true?" 'Abdullah said, "Some of the Prophet's companions said, "O Allah's Apostle! You are addressing dead people.' Allah's Apostle replied, 'You do not hear what I am saying, better than they.' [Sahih Bukhari, Book 59, Number 360] Hadith #4 , Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) let the dead bodies of the unbelievers who fought in Badr (lie unburied) for three days. He then came to them and sat by their side and called them and said: O Abu Jahl b. Hisham, O Umayya b. Khalaf, O Utba b. Rab'ila, O Shaiba b. Rabi'a, have you not found what your Lord had promised with you to be correct? As for me, I have found the promises of my Lord to be (perfectly) correct. Umar listened to the words of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and said: Allah's Messenger, how do they listen and respond to you? They are dead and their bodies have decayed. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what I am saying to them, even you cannot hear more distinctly than they, but they lack the power to reply. Then'he commanded that they should be buried in the well of Badr. , Note , Here the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said , even you cannot hear more distinctly than they , Hence it proves that even Kafirs who are Dead can hear more clearly then alive can or equally let alone be Muslims and Prophets (aleh islam) , . Rasool Allah [saleh ala waalihi wasalam] says "O Abu Jahl..... O Umayya..... O Utba..." for Kafirs after they died, Then why cant we use "Ya Rasool Allah [saww] for our Beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him) after his passing away.

The Belief of Mainstream Sunnis i-e Ahlu Sunnah is That intercession or mediation is must according to the Quran and Sunnah of Holy Prophet (alehisalatowasalam), So if someone says Ya Rasool Allah madad (help me o Prophet of ALLAH) or says Ya Ali madad. This is valid and jaiz to say, because the main concept behind asking help from others than Allah is not that we consider someone else as Almighty but we consider that the pious and chosen ones like Prophets who are best among humans and Muslims and Sahaba(s) and Saints are the pious from rest of the people. And it is permissible to ask for help or to use such words for intercession is permitted in various Quranic verses,here are two basics. We know that Almighty Allah is the Real ONE who is helping everyone but the help by itself reaches us through Prophets and guidance afterwards through Sahaba Companions and Auliya Saints.We do not consider them gods or any kind of polytheist views are not included in it. All those verses which salafi,wahabi,deobandi brought up on behalf of their belief are totally misguidance, they usually do translations and exegesis without full context. And that is the reason of all of trouble among Muslims. May God save us from those tyrants and deviants and guide us on the true path which is ahlu sunnah (because we follow sunnah) wal jamat (and biggest group which we never left). Ameen Proof 1 : Quran says : (O beloved!) And if they had come to you, when they had wronged their souls, and asked forgiveness of Allah, and the Messenger also had asked forgiveness for them, they (on the basis of this means and intercession) would have surely found Allah the Granter of repentance, extremely Merciful. (Quran 4:64) Tafsir Ibn e Khatir for 4:64 Allah is exhorting the sinners and evildoers that when they commit sins and errors they should call on the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and ask forgiveness from Allah. They should also request the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to pray for them. When they do so, Allah will turn to them and forgive them and He will show mercy to them. That is why He used the words la-wajadullāha tawwāban-rahīmā (they (on the basis of this means and intercession) would have surely found Allah the Granter of repentance, extremely Merciful). Many have stated this tradition. One of them is Abū Mansūr Sabbāgh who writes in his book al-Hikāyāt-ul-mashhūrah that, according to ‘Utbī, once he was sitting beside the Prophet’s grave when a bedouin came and he said, “Peace be on you, O Allah’s Messenger. I have heard that Allah says: ‘(O beloved!) And if they had come to you, when they had wronged their souls, and asked forgiveness of Allah, and the Messenger also had asked forgiveness for them, they (on the basis of this means and intercession) would have surely found Allah the Granter of repentance, extremely Merciful.’ I have come to you, asking forgiveness for my sins and I make you as my intermediary before my Lord and I have come to you for this purpose.” .Then he recited these verses: “O(YA), the most exalted among the buried people who improved the worth of the plains and the hillocks! May I sacrifice my life for this grave which is made radiant by you, (the Prophet,) the one who is (an embodiment) of mercy and forgiveness.” Then the bedouin went away and I fell asleep. In my dream I saw the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He said to me: O ‘Utbī, the bedouin is right, go and give him the good news that Allah has forgiven his sins (Tafsir ibn e khatir for 4:64 ) Also recorded in ► Bayhaqī in Shu‘ab-ul-īmān (3:495-6#4178) ►Ibn Qudāmah in al-Mughnī (3:557). ►Nawawī in al-Adhkār (pp. 92-3). ►Ibn ‘Asākir in Tahdhīb tārīkh Dimashq al-kabīr popularly known as Tārīkh/Tahdhīb Ibn ‘Asākir as quoted by Subkī in Shifā’-us-siqām fī ziyārat khayr-il-anām (pp.46-7) ►Ibn Hajar Haythamī in al-Jawhar-ul-munazzam (p. 51).

We all need to know from where the Enemies of Islam came from ! Dont we ?? By searching through many Sunni books i have come to find out this truth ! according to many Ahadith the Beloved Prophet Muhammad(SAWA) ,pointed his finger toward YAMAN & said From this side comes the TWO HORNS OF SATAN ! Well after doing much studies i found out those Yahoodis who fled during the war of Khaibar ,they kept the hatred of Prophet Muhammad(SAWA) in their hearts & Continuously they were looking for ways to get even with him ,So from among them after about 300 years came a man name Ahamad Ibn taymiyyah Harrani who was a very smart Yahoodi ,just like Paul who made his way to Christian faith ,this man .Ibn taymiyyah did the same ! Yes shortly he gathered many followers by teaching Islam to them & once he gathered enough followers ,he backed himself up going opposite to the Islam teachings to the point that the Sunnis found out about his plan which was to misguide the Islam Ummah ! so they put him in Jail ,until he died in there ! yet this was not the End to his Cultic agenda ,right after his death ,most of his followers started teaching his nonsense gathered in his books until 300 years ago while the real Islam was growing very fast & the Enemies of Islam including the Christians feared that growing Islam will surly put their own religion in jeopardy! So they had to come up with a way to stop this fast growing religion called Islam ! So what they did ? They sat down & studied the real Islam And also studied the teaching of Ibn Taymiyyah,Then they decided to pick an arch enemy of prophet Muhammad(SAWA) from among those Yahoodi who had fled during the war of Khaibar,so they found out where they live during 1712 (300 years ago ),So they came up with TWO Tribes one was called TAYMIN & the other one was called EIZZ ,So they decide to take Both tribes & support them to be used as weapons against the real Muslims the followers of Prophet Muhammad(SAWA) ! Yes they make them believe that the Real Islam is what they are following & the Real Muslims are them !By putting the two tribes together,they created a leader ship calling it SAUDI KINGDOM ,& they supported them to go against the Muslims & doing so they created a war running like wild fire killing every Muslim in their path ,they killed over 100000 Sunnis ,young ,old ,women & children & they placed military rule in the cities ,forcing their scholars & the people to convert to their kind of Islam ! yes they did many awful acts on them ,Believe it or not they hold most of those people hungry for many days ,then killed their love ones & cooked their body parts & forced them to eat their love ones ! Then from among them the picked a man name Mohamad Abdul wahab & made him their religious leader & they knew Abdul wahab was an easy target so they trained him to go back to the teachings of Ibn Taymiyyah harranni & he did & that man would kill any one who opposed him even he ordered a man to kill his own Brother who was against him ,yet the man failed & his brother moved away !And yes the two horns of the Satan one became the King over Arabia & the other the Religious leader over their Cult !And yes their followers today are all bunch of Stupid Vicious Ignorant people who consider themselves as true Muslims ,yet they kill the true Muslims all over the world ,Lately they have made video of themselves killing innocent people in Damascus & they play foot ball with the heads of their victims & they continue to cook the head of their victims & forcing their family members to eat them !And after each crime trying to down the real Islam ,they keep shouting Allaho Akbar ,trying to tell the people of other religion that the Islam which you have heard is the one we are displaying before you !

When Ahl Sunnah wal jammah interpret the Quran & Hadith, they see in it tolerance, justice, peaceful coexistence, kindness, charity, humbleness etc, i.e Traditional Sufi interpretion....When deviants interpret the Quran & Hadith, they become arrogant, become takfiri extremists, commit acts causing death & destruction, atrocities, suicide bombings, desecrate graves & holy sites, become ignorant, emit hatred towards all others etc etc..... Not too difficult to distinguish those who interpret it correctly, & those who interpret it falsely.

and fathul bari's statement is also strengthened by the hadith from mishkat baab al masajid "Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said O Allah don't make my grave idol which will be worshiped, Anger of Allah on the nation who made their Prophets graves masajid" so it is now clear that doing sajda to grave is prohibited not making mosque.

Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are the two most authentic sources of Hadith. I quote from there. I have not seen a single hadith permitting buildings on graves (the one you quote is not there, it is a fabrication). In fact, there are plenty of ones where building on them is prohibited.

I ask any of you people denouncing the ideology of Muhammad ibn Abdulwahab if you have read any of his books? Kitba AL-Tawheed is a very basic book. it is only ten pages long. "Jabir said: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade (made haraam) that the graves should be plastered or they be used as sitting places (for the people), or a building should be built over them." [Sahih Muslim 2:2116-8]

I am sure you may find it difficult to accept. However, the Prophet has prohibited us from building over the graves. You now have the hadiths, they are clear, and do not require tafseer.

Translation: (Ibn ‘Abideen) His words and who consider the Companions of our Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) to be disbelievers are not a condition for someone to be a kharijite, but rather are a mere clarification of what those who revolted against ‘Ali (Allah Most High be well pleased with him) in fact did.Otherwise, it is enough to be convinced of the unbelief of those they fight against, as happened in our own times with the followers of [Muhammad ibn] ‘Abd al-Wahhab,

"Ibn Umar considered the Khawarij and the heretics as the worst beings in creation, and he said: They went to verses which were revealed about the disbelievers and applied them to the Believers. [Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Page No 49-50, Chapter on killing Khawarjites and Mulhidin]

I presented tafseer from "ruhul bayan" a famous tafseer..And in fatawa shami says it is permissible to build a building over graves...so says fatawa hindya... Bukhari vol 1 kitab ul janaiz states "when imam hassan bib Hassan bin Ali (R.A.) died his wife made a building over his grave and stayed there for one year" it was era of Sahaba R.A but no body objected...

Surah kahf ayat no 21 "those who won their point said"We verily shall build a mosque over them" this is about ashab e kahf and people built mosque where those pious people were and Quran narrated it what else do you want??? This hadith you brought is not in Bukhari, It was narrated that Abu Marthad al-Ghanawi said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not sit on graves, or pray towards them.” (Narrated by Muslim, 972) Apart from the janazah prayer, all forms of prayer is not allowed at the grave.

You need to ask yourself, is there any saheeh hadith, where the Prophet salla Allahu aleihi wasallam prayed at a grave? Did he erect a mosque over a grave? Did any of his companions do so? If you wish to know what the scholars say about the issue of Masjid an Nabawi, then ask again, for your rudeness implies, you do not wish to know the truth.

Second, I do not say Imam Abu Hanifa is misguided. He agreed with the ahadith narrated of the Prophet, prohibiting buildings.

Proof 2 of building of tombs around a grave Hadrat Umar (Ra) wish to get buried beside Tomb of Prophet(saw) in a Room Al-Bukhari narrates in his Sahih, Book of Jana’iz: When `Umar was stabbed he sent his son `Abd Allah with a message to `A’isha to “Ask her if I can be buried with my two companions,” that is, in her room, next to the Prophet and Abu Bakr. `A’isha replied: “I wanted the spot for myself, but I shall put him [`Umar] before me today.” It had been her habit that if a man from among the Companions asked her that spot she would always refuse. She herself gave the following instructions before her death: “Bury me with my lady-friends (the wives of the Prophet in al-Baqi`) [but do not bury me with the Prophet in the house, for I dislike to be held in reverence (inni akrahu an uzakka).” Ibn `Umar came back with the news, whereupon `Umar said: “NOTHING IN THE WORLD WAS MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THAN THAT RESTING-PLACE.” [Narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih.] Why did Hadrat Umar (ra) wanted to get buried in a room and not outside , Why is Hadrat Abu Baker (Ra) buried in a Room , A tomb is also a room built around the grave ,and it proves its a sunnah The Tomb of Aqah Karim (صلی اللہ علیھ وآلھ وسلم) is the greatest proof of this practice , Other tombs of Sahabas (Ra) were demolished by Al saud otherwise they too were present throughout history of islam.

you might have bukhari published by wahabi publisher...because its their habit to throw out hadith which is against their faith..as they did in adab al mufrad removing word "YA" from "YA MUhammad" or removed full chapter of "kissing the hands and feet" from adab al mufrad lil bukhari
