Sunrise Helicopter Cruise Over Fremont Street via the Boulder Transition

Hello helicopter fans! This was a beautiful early morning departure from North Las Vegas (KVGT) towards the east heading to Parker, Arizona. I was very lucky to have had a gorgeous sunrise with some scattered clouds and fresh snow over the hills south of Boulder City. I have included the live audio but didn’t talk too much on this video. Just the comms with ATC. If you think I should narrate more or give anecdotal advice please let me know in the comments. I really appreciate all of your advice and comments. Cheers! Todd.

Great job on your latest creation! In addition to your superb editing, the sound levels for the comm radios, rotor system, and background music were perfect. You really captured something here, especially around the time mark 5:45. I'm sure to view this again later today. Thanks for posting!

Amazing views. I miss Vegas area, always loved the vibe and feel. Don't like the strip life, but the town just has a certain character you don't find in other places. Same way I feel about Havasu. Has its own vibe.

Hello. Another super awesome video of flying over Vegas love it.❤ We go to Vegas every once in a while but and want to do a helicopter ride there 1 day with my wife and daughter. After seeing your videos I can tell your a professional and will only do a tour with you at the controls if you do tours.👍

I had a flying friend who also flew big tired slow movers like I do, that one really cool thing about flying a helicopter was that the gen pub tends to think they are always on "official business" of some sort. Whereas a small fixed wing is more likely to be thought of as flown by a crazy rich guy. Bottom line, he drew less unwanted attention, when doing things like flying over surburban streets in a good sized town/small city, simply to look at the holiday lighting!

Relative to your question, I like the heli exploration. Like you saw that crate, went to see it. Old mines, settlements , cool scenery. Love it all. Glad to see you on this format.

I see you're down in my neck of the woods. I kept my Cessna 180 in Parker for years, until I moved to Havasu. Now up in Laughlin Bullhead area. I'm the guy that's doing the helicopter add-on at 702.

Noted! Getting the balance right with the audio is so difficult. Its trial and error because I don't have a way to adjust it while editing. I appreciate it.

Very nice flight! Thanks! Ever think of using a 360 camera? I was surprised to see the tower crane just below as you were approaching the casinos and no red safety beacons hardly anywhere! What’s up with that? Would love to see the round trip flight if you took it! (Good music and was not overwhelming the turbine, rotor or air traffic comms!) Thanks again!

@@helihaus It would be cool to know the history of your particular ship, where it has lived and flown. Also just a walk around, maybe a discussion about maintenance and what it takes to own your own turbine... Why you chose a 500C.. Thanks for the reply Todd-

Love your vids. I’d enjoy seeing places of interest or geographical features labeled. For example, the name of mountain range you flew over, the winding road that went into the mountains, the river in the distance, the black fields as you approached the mountains were they solar panels?, I’m not from vegas and don’t know my directions or any of the features I’m seeing. Thanks. I know snow is rare in Vegas but what was the elevation of those mountains with all the snow? Thanks for creating these. I enjoy every part of them.

@@helihaus I often follow along with google earth. that makes it feel like I am more inside the video. Imagine if there was a way to record a flight in a DIY black Box and play it back in a simulator. Thanks for your videos. I do enjoy them!!

helihaus. Do you think the Rounded Nose (like what's shown in this video) or the Pointed Nose looks better? I like the Rounded Nose for appearance.

Hello there! I like the classic look of the rounded nose TBH. The pointed nose is great but some pilots prefer the round for visibility and to avoid weathercocking. Thanks for commenting.
