Man I love how you add in so much nuance without making it sound like "shredding". It always hits just right, and there's so much emotion to your playing. Thanks for sharing!
Bruh it looks so cold. Looks like the kind of furniture you hurt your ass by sitting on. I’m very biased against this type of aesthetic though I can’t stand the looks over comfort and homeyness approach.
@@brynjolf3974 to me its seeing beautiful art around your space. I dont like undecorated super homey feeling spaces cause it makes you feel lazy and couped up
@@geraltofrivia4651 go play some Gwent or bang the local sorceress in whatever nameless crumbling village you’ve found yourself in. Nobody cares about the aesthetic preferences of a Witcher.
Why always using these same superlatives over and over again? He is a wonderful player and creative as hell. I really like, no love his playing. But asking him he would never state such a stupid claim. Who else is the greatest? Tommy Emmanuel? Hendrix? Dawes? Knopfler? Attkins? BB King? Vai? Van Halen? The dozens to add here? They all won't claim beeing one of the greatest just because they know that they have been inspired by "the greatest" back then. Which all live on outside of trend, hype or charts. They all just don't give a s..t because they are far too busy to expressthemselvs and being creative and productive. They all keep learning, experimenting, evolving. Tim is just a damn good guitar player and musician with individual ideas and a soul to express. Please don't always post the cheap stuff. Type in something reasonable. Something that matters and respects the greatnes of what you commenting to. Be at least as good in commenting as he is in playing. Thanks. ❤
Tim Henson is part of the new Generation of Young musicians who have achieved something that makes them, like few others. I have been a guitarist since I was 14 years old and I continue to see the possibilities that an instrument can give to use, if we explore it. Tim's style makes me always learn something new. I follow Steve Vai's words when he says: Tim Henson is a musician " out of the box". Great Young Musician 🎼🎼🎼🤘
You know, it's quite hard to be a guitarist when Tim Henson is around. At this point the guitar world should make a verb out of his name, with such a recognizable playstyle. Slowly becoming iconic.
technically he’s outstanding, and I agree he’s becoming (if not already) iconic in the guitar community. But dude, he’s just a guy with his own voice and put the grind in to get where he is now with polyphia. He’s got the equipment to make stunning videos and have an amazing studio, he worked for that. It should be inspiring more than it should be another guitarist to compare yourself to. I know it’s easier said than done, trust me, I’ve spent many hours envious of him and Scott as a guitar player. But part of growing as a person is working hard and becoming your own artist.
@@evanho4538 I understand what you mean and I agree, I'm inspired by him and many others. What I meant is that it is hard to look at him and then realize where you are at the moment, if that makes sense.
@@evanho4538 didn't 'work for it' exactly though I'm guessing. Right at the start they had expensive gear and great production. Rich af parents probably.
@@YummyBananaFish There’s a vid on this channel of Tim when he was young AF, already playing in a band. Rich parents? Maybe. Or maybe instead of asking for an xbox or a bicycle as a kid he asked for a guitar instead, and has continued that early passion for music throughout his entire life thus far. Rich parents or not, he didn’t reach this point without working for it, plain and simple
Yeah you guys are right, the way it's worded: "who is 100%".... (rather than "who makes 100% aesthetic sounds"...etc ... eliminates the chance they were saying the music was aesthetically pleasing...I I just want to point out that technical skill (accuracy, finger speed etc..) doesn't automatically translate to beautiful sounds.... And also that it doesn't matter what the dude with the guitar looks like... as long as they can make it sing! And that if we are gonna talk looks.... then i think he was way cooler before he got attacked by a tattooist lol
@@expertgoyal He was, if you watch interviews of him, he explained that his band played metal at the beginning but they didn't want to pursue that sound.
These dope ass teaser style videos you've been doing are just immaculately orchestrated. You're such a phenomenal artist. You inspire me to keep find new ways to play these strings. Continue on forging these masterpieces my dude.
Tim i swear to God every time something really tragic in my personal life happens within days you post something new that makes things feel just a little bit better. Thank you for being so skilled and blessing the world with beautiful music
you know, i'm an old millennial that grew up on Steve vai, EVH, the late 80's metal boom.(and later bust with the rise of grunge). I'm just very happy that the younger generation still appreciates the beauty of guitar virtuosity. Rock on you legend , Rock on.
I like how on one end of the spectrum you play EVERY note you can in a "space" you have, and that's Tim's arena. Then on the other end when you only play ONE note and it fills the whole space, you have people like BB King. This will make no sense to anyone but me, but god I love that I get to hear both styles with such incredible mastery.
I have been listening to this video a hundred times already I don’t I just love this song even more when he plays it himself without effecT. There is a charm to this song that makes me feel better
@@troysmithfr well it is but the amount of techniques he tries to fit into 1 song makes it pure wank, unlistenable. people naturally like repetition in music to make it enjoyable
@@coryleblanc So you're saying you think this is unlistenable? While you are entitled to your own opinion, this is far better than plenty of other shit we've heard from guitar players...
Quick story: I just went for a quick nature hike for a break while driving my delivery route. Encountered a bit of rock face which i climbed. I stopped at the top and took pictures of some lichen and spotted a small jumping spider who was checking me out as I checked it out. After some pushups and a bunch of sprints up a slope I worked my way back to my truck. Dropped my damn key somewhere during that tour. Spend almost an hour retracing all my steps, scouring the rock face area, walking the ditch I crossed, nada. I do this often so I don't panic but more-or-less laugh at my stupid self. I have a spare stashed so I was about to give up and I had one more gut feeling to check the swampy area by the ditch. BINGO. I did a victory jog up and down the dirt road, arms in the air. Jump in my truck lo and behold this video is awaiting me. Somehow the vibe matched the whole experience for me, calm connected chaotic joy. Love ya Tim and All Y'all
Hey Tim, I’m 16 and I’ve been playing guitar for 5 months. I have recently been practicing 8 hours a day. You’re my guitar role model and I would hugely appreciate some tips. What would you tell a beginner as a piece of advice. Thank you for your music that has brought me such joy. -Quinn
The most important advice I've heard came not from a guru but from an average player. "Don't read tabs, play by ear." Anyone can figure out the melody of any song using single notes, figuring the bass, harmony, scale, rhythm, etc that accompanies it requires musical knowledge even the most basic. Beyond that, just keep searching for music, don't limit yourself to polyphia.
@@SensitiveSky5 I’ve heard these guitars are prototypes, you may be thinking of a diff guitar, either way they should release them as they would sell like hot cakes
I really like the digital soundscape you have paired with that classical guitar, so vibrant & full. As I'd expect from your level of experience you have a really great ear for it. I could honestly listen to this setup all day. 🎧🎛️
Bro! I am so stoked to be seeing you guys in Charlotte in August!! Would love to see a collab with you and @heiakim one day. Your raw technicality with his mixes would SLAY!
