You showed our old house when you were at the end of the road talking, we hunt along that road and one night my father said he was in his tree stand and he saw a white figure go from one tree to another, he brought it up one night while we were in the butcher shop and my uncle said he had a similar story but he said he saw more than one.
Francene O. Yup. One time my cousin said we was walking up through one of the corn fields early morning and said he could hear what sounded like a witches laugh. I have not had any experiences myself yet but and hoping to soon.

I live in Berks County, I moved back after being away for 30 yrs. So glad I found your channel! I appreciate the area so much after seeing much of the US and a few countries outside the US.
PA countryside is so beautiful with all the farms and fields. Thats the kind of views i had when I was growing up in York county. I live outside of atlanta now and what a big difference. Only reason I like it down here in GA is everything is within minutes to get to instead of 20 minute drive or more.
Hi, I'm from central Pa. Love it here. This video got me to thinking that almost every area across our country has it's share of "haunted" places. My great grandparents lived in Heir's Valley, a back road between Huntingdon & Mt. Union. Great grandpap told stories of his own personal experiences. He didn't have a car, but did own horses and a wagon, which he drove to work at the Sand Plant in Mapleton. He'd tell of the horses acting up and refusing to move at all, when he investigated what was on the road, it was a empty pair of tall boots. They walked off the road and into the woods of their own accord and just disappeared amongst the trees after leaving foot prints in the snow. The horses also shied away from a watering trough that was fed by a spring along the road. He told of a Native American standing along side the road, when he got close enough to ask if he wanted a ride, the figure disappeared. And on and on the stories went. Sort of creepy even if he did maybe exaggerate. Although great grandpap was a honest, god fearing man, so I always thought there was at least some truth to his stories. And many years after he passed away, hearing very similar tales from other ppl who lived in the valley kinda confirmed it for me. Even as an adult, anytime I've be back to Heir's Valley I get filled with foreboding feelings. I'm sure a lot of that is due to the stories I heard often as a child. But I wouldn't live there even if I was given a nice house on some nice property. And I'm plenty old enough now to know better. However I always trust my gut feelings. It's a beautiful valley for sure, but it just leaves me unsettled. Only place that ever made me feel that way. Nice channel, enjoying the history lessons and your story telling.
It is beautiful up there! Driven it many times, friends live in Windsor Castle . Story say's on May day (2nd) u can see the orbs of faries dancing on top the hill ! ...
Nice to see everything so green. Everything's brown here in MI, corn is curling, haven't had rain in weeks, my poor lawn crunches when ya walk on it. And not sure which road I'd not want to live on, Witchcraft Rd or Virginville Rd. lol
Love the drive, wonderful country farmland, you can almost smell the air. It would be great to travel it at night with a bright full moon, sky full of stars and thousands of fireflies dancing in the fields and woods.
Love the late day drive & seeing a town, too. Sooooo peaceful. Your videos are the perfect antidote for someone who has both job and suburban burn out.
Oh....you're here in Berks! Have you ever been to .... Mountain Mary road and plaque? The covered bridges in Oley? The fishery in Pikeville? Blue Rocks (River of Rocks) (near where you are now)? "UFO Road" in Oley? I've done a lot of wandering in pre-internet days. Could show you or tip you off to a lot! Lol. ☺️
Looks similar to the back road drive to Kutztown as you go over the hill/mountain above Lowbachsville. Drive along the crest heading to Kutztown and see a sea of corn fields
That was a wonderful sunset drive. I just love PA in the summer. I have been lucky enough to visit twice. The huge barns and endless fields of corn are amazing. My most favorite things are the covered bridges❤️❤️❤️. If you find time to explore a few more of them that would be wonderful. We just don’t have them here in Arkansas. Thanks again for the drive😊
I was born and raised in Nescopeck pa. Ive been living hereb for three past 3 years. But in 5 weeks I'm moving back out to Arizona. I'm really going to miss this countryside.
As a kid we had gone to a camping at new duch Inn. This is close to Kutztown. Across the road their was a cave. Not what is like now this was back in the 60s
I was born and raised in Delaware County but my wife who I met in 2004 was raised in Boyertown. Prior to meeting her I was through Berks only once however I easily became obsessed with Berks. Now living here in Delco but if circumstances fit I would move to Berks in a minute

I grew up in Berks county but moved away years ago, 3 years ago I was up for an event in Hellertown but had to visit Hamburg as well and the GPS took me via Witchcraft road. I had never been up that way before so I also had to take a picture of the street sign at Virginville rd. The strange thing was it was a dark cloudy day and the picture turn out really creepy.
Great drive and country side is beautiful, so peaceful too. Noticed when you were driving back saw a parachute left side of your windscreen gliding down. Thanks Cliff for the drive, sunset was awesome!

I almost don't want to mention this but if you have the original video still look over your left shoulder asking the bush line. The easiest way to do it is to download an app that allows you to zoom in better and change the time scale(slow it down to about 0.25% is the original speed). A helpful visual clue is you will see somewhere between o- 54 seconds along the left hand shoulder brush line a yellow eye pop up. It almost looks like it's just light coming through but it's not. I am not going to say anything other than that. It's very hard to see on this video but if you have the original it might be clearer.

Right down the road there are more ghost stories pertaining to the "twin churches". The churches are easily seen on the landscape from 222. Supposedly, at night a ghost of a woman is sometimes seen by drivers between the two churches. Could just be urban legend!

The question came up on a York county PA facebook page. Then i saw this video. I was wondering anyone's opinion. Are there still powwowers in PA ? Those who practice the old witchcraft i think it is ? I grew up near Rehymeyers hollow outside of shrewsbury pa where John Rehymeyer was killed because 2 guys thought he was a witch who put a curse on them or something. There is a book called HEX that i highly recommend about what happened. Anyway, just wondered if anyone thinks powwowing still is practiced or not.
In the town of Redding CT. there's a street called "Gallows Hill Rd". Apparently people where actually hanged on the nearby hill. Some residents have reported "sightings" and strange sounds. My cousin had a client who lived in the neighborhood. She eventually had to drop the client because she felt "uncomfortable" going to her house.
