Corny as it was the producers found 6 kids whose chemistry with each other was off the charts and 50 years later the show is is still loved by millions.
i don’t find the song corny at all, why is everyone saying this?? i always thought it was such a cute song, it’s so wholesome unlike the crap put out in today’s modern age
I wanted to be Marcia so damn bad and wanted a boyfriend like Peter. I used to rock out to this song, and then get the bong out and blast the headphones with Heartbreaker by Zeppelin. Great times as a 14yr old in 1974.
@@TnseWlms yes it absolutely matters if they are to be in sync. Why should everyone be holding their mics in their right hand when Peter is messing up the coordination using the wrong hand. I'm certain that he caused a lot of retakes when they were filming this
How can you not smile at this? 40 years later I LOVE IT! I saw this episode this morning and had to hear it again and again and again. ABC would have had a win if they had aired this show in the proper time slot.
Seeing this brings back wonderful memories of watching this show with my family. 22 minutes of love and laughter all wrapped up with a life lesson at the end. No sassy mouth kids, no dumb parents being outsmarted by the kids. Mr and Mrs Brady were like my own parents were, in charge, giving love and discipline, guidance with room to trip and fall on your face with a hand outreached to help you back up. It got me pretty far in life. Miss shows like this, thank God for RU-vid, and streaming.
@@blue3381 I loved the clothes worn by the Brady six. That red sweater/plaid skirt ensemble of Cindy's was especially captivating. The perfectly braided hair was another feature that I found to be very nice.
Another one that goes along great with this as a followup or prelude is the theme from Meatballs... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yPEfxNbvcjo.html
I will never forget the very first time I heard this song.. I just happened to be watching The Brady bunch with my mom mom & it was the first time I saw this particular episode & as soon as I heard this song, I completely fell in love with it instantly. Haven't heard it since then & it just so happens that it randomly crossed my mind thinking damn what is that song called from the Brady bunch & I don't care what anyone says, I always loved this song & always will ❤💜
say what you want about the show but it still is funny and very good, I just watched all of it with my mum and we laughed our heads off and agreed it's a very good show. Not everything has to be miserable to be good.
This cheery musical number serves as a clear reminder of just how sweet sunshine really is! In addition, I love how all three of the girls exchange lead parts on the verses!
Loved this as a kid, and couldnt wait for this episode to replay again, I still love it, great memories and a great show that actually taught us right from wrong with Mikes lessons,
One of my favorite scenes of the show is when Cindy went through a snitching phase. She said something about the neighbors. Mike put her in check by saying. " Cindy, what our neighbors do on their side of the fence is none of our business".
@@theearthkingdom7537 it's not simply the Brady Bunch. It was any of those horrid canned laughter, saccharine sweet, smarmy 70s / 80s / 90s TV shows of the same ilk. They'll all be playing on an endless loop in hell, I'm sure. No! Worse yet, you have to be a guest star on those shows in Hell. (Shudder)
I waz Nat born yet when it waz on regular television. But I did watching it sum as I have grown, am are watching hg TV Bradybunch remodel of the house used in the opening
I noticed that at 0:44 Eve Plumb prods Mike Lookinland for holding the microphone in the wrong hand. He quickly swaps it back before having to swap it again.
fuck all the haters but marcia cannot sing. or dance. or take care of herself. she is talentless. she got this role because her parents were rich and friends with producers of the show.
@@joewhitehead3 Mike could always sing, he just acted like he couldn't for that episode. Listen to when the kids are singing the show's theme song. Mike is the boy you hear clearly in all seasons with Barry doing backup since Chris can't sing. On the ladies' side, Eve is heard clearest, then Maureen and Susan does backup.

chris green Philly Sherwood Schwartz (creator/executive producer/whatever other titles he wanted) said in his book that Peter was tone-deaf and couldn't sing a lick.
oriolesandravens Peter (Christopher Knight) said the music shows were his least favorite because he couldn't sing and that is why they did the voice crack one.
This video is so EPIC. So much to watch. Those outfits. That endless horrible but yet somehow coordinated never ending two step. Bobby’s solo is wicked pissah because it breaks down and he gets sultry with it. (Watch the first time he breaks away from the group and digs into that solo) that’s my favorite part. And something about the smile on that guys face off stage tells me he’s more proud than he leads one to believe
Matt, Wrong, dummy! The ENTIRE time of production of this show (1969-1974) occurred with a Republican president in the White House. You did not know this because you posted without prior research.
Of the solo parts performed, here are my picks, from worst to first: 4 - Cindy (Lisp.....Can't ignore it) 3 - Jan (Can actually carry a tune) 2 - Marcia (I actually almost put her behind Jan, because her voice is intentionally doubled. Hmmm......) 1 - Bobby (Because he absolutely murdered that bridge! And when he did, he had one hell of a swagger to go with those kick ass vocals!) :-P God, did I seriously just analyze this assery? DAAAAAAH well... >___
Being born in 69 I probably saw the Brady bunch in some way or another for most of my formative years. So I honestly feel like these, are kinda like old family movies..It's so strange but they really feel like cousins to me..
EVERYONE can agree that this song is iconic and catchy but at the same day it corny but i like it they even use it for commercials and its played on radio
I use this in the morning to wake my 10 year old up for school. I literally do a whole dance and o sing to it. It drives him crazy. The other one I do this with is Let's Get Ready to Rumble. Lol
Yeh i have the cd i admit this is still my fav tune next to when its time to change. Yeh its cheesy song but the goofy dancing makes it charming. Still brings a smile to my face listening to it a groovy beat.
Yes we watched the Brady Bunch. We even had a Brady Bunch coloring book. I was young when the show first aired and had a big crush on Cindy. But yes we watched this growing up.Really who hasn't watched this at one time or another ?
I'm just learning of the show (I'm much, much younger and not American) and I found it by pure luck because it looks really really good! How was it watching it as it aired?
It's no big surprise that the kids were outshined by a dog act. That would be like watching AFV and some of the time they would pick a video with a funny dog or cat. But if it's up against a cute baby all bets are off!
LMFAOOOOOOOO I remember they used to play this and The Yellow Submarine in the mornings at school. I never knew this song was by The Brady Bunch til now.
I've loved Eve Plumb ever since this show aired and I still do. Before some may say "perv" at me ;), I'm only one year older than she is and wished she had gone to my school then. Just say'in...
