Great rundown... However, I'm disappointed that you've suggested that the powers depicted were not at all original. Seriously, any new show or movie involving superpowers would still have many of the same ones. Even if you look at the ~2012 series Heroes, all of them are there. Healing touch, fast personal healing, seeing the future, stopping time, super strength, borrowing/stealing powers from another, etc. Supacell should be celebrated for its unique plot. You mentioned it, but you don't really celebrate it.

New appreciation... Your comparison to private lives between these characters and others... Very good. I like it even more now

@@theprecipiceofreason @youli3568 Racism? Really? If you haven't watched it, you should. It's kinda obvious that you haven't yet. Sooo before you start trolling, watch the series and understand the mutation that's depicted as the base for the super beings therein.

@@koh9894 Racial exceptionalism is still racism. You're the one that needs education but, in a broader sense than one piece of manipulative media.

Oh man.. I purposely avoided saying so in my first comment buuuut.... Watching your video again I decided to speak on our and possibly correct you. The "skin cracks" on Andre's back - any black American, as myself, will probably see this as a reference to captivity and violence experienced by enslaved African Americans during that period. I emplore you, google "whip scars on back" .. view images .. and it will hit you immediately. Those are the images that came to mind when i saw Andre's back in the show. If this wasn't the intent of the creator or director, then I offer them this same reference... Just so they know. After all, cruelty and captivity elements are in the show as well; so why not?

You are 100% correct. The back scars were indeed a reference to what we endured during Slavery. This is why I'm not completely in favor of non-Black people doing reviews of this particular show because they can't seem to comprehend, or just don't care about, actual history and references regarding Black people.
