Supacell Show Review 

They are actually all linked by the fact that their parents or at least one parent have Sickle Cell Anaemia, the cell has mutated within them to create the Supacell which gives them their powers. I am a proud Brit that could not be prouder right now, Rapman is a legend and this show is 100/10

My sister, who has SC sickle cell, broke this down for me...... the powers manifest from the things they need. The runner is a run away, running from a racist family. The time traveler manipulates time to be there for everyone he loves. The strong man wants to be stronger for his son, so he becomes stronger. Lazer wishes he could disappear, so he does.

The black love in this show too like a black man actively protecting a darkskin black women. I love this so much 💕💕

Being a mother that have the traits but also have two boys with sickle cell anemia, I’m just happy a superhero show came out to discuss the topic and the endless possibilities to come! ❤🎉❤

I was surprised at how good it was. And being from Compton I seen so much of California gang culture reach way out there thats crazy. But it more than just a gang story, it a super hero story ,and a Love story. Never seen a blend of these genres with a all black cast beforel. The acting is on Point. The special effects and seeing Black Love was just refreshing to see.

It is so well done, I was so mad there weren’t more episodes. It was like being hung up on. I really hope Netflix doesn’t mess this up and invests because I would gladly watch more seasons.

The Show is solid. 9/10 I binged watched it last night. It reminded me of Heros. I'm an old comic book head. the more superhero the better.

Love the show. I genuinely respect the level of unapologetic demon time Tazer and Krazy were allowed to display. I'm interested to see how Tazer evolves now that he's learned his mom didn't abandon him. I don't think we've seen the last of Krazy either.

I love how this show is more of a human drama over the plot of the story and the super powers. All the characters are so relatable. I hated Tazer at first, but by episode three was on board.

They weren’t all trying to save the world, they fought for self preservation. I found myself wondering what I would do if I was given random powers 😅

My fav aspect of the show is how menacing Krazy was made to be, and how well Ghetts played him, feels surreal seeing such a great rapper play such a cool role

As a person with sickle cell trait show was really shot in south London places I’ve live Lewisham Brixton…etc….great show hope…always felt sickle cells were strange the shape it’s an unusual type of disease great great show 👊🏾

I loved the show and the character development n an all blk cast n not really saving the world situation now future wise that's fine if it goes that way in like season 3 im happy to see ppl of my skin color shine instead of just having one or 2 in a cast full of other or same colors this needed to happen like im still waiting on static shock to happen

My finger was hovering over the “like" button for your video while waiting with bated breath for what you have to say. I hit the thumb up at 0:29 when you declared that you finished the series in one day and flashed that bright smile. Brov (and I’m Caribbean American using that slang)!!! Everything about this show was A+ Now for the rest of what you had to say. I suspect that you needed to start off with a spoiler alert.

i liked it but the pacing is off. the plot should have kicked in a lot earlier, imo. they're quite confident in being able to finish the story. i wish them luck

Yeah that was my only issue with the series is the lack of development of the VILLAINS because when we did see they were cool asf....And the ending SHEESH!!! Yeah we need a season 2, 3, and 4....

I am a fan of super hero movies and a Brit. Thank you for your review, I enjoyed this movie too. I thought I was just watching a film to support black artist but the movie soon demonstrated that it was high budget, clever and very watchable. I too binged the whole series after promising myself not to. I suppose it will lean to some of the"top boy" ideas because that is the London, black culture. I would also align it with the movie "get out" what is the film world saying about black people being special and desired? Michael the protagonist was too pretty 😍 but held his own. The love Interest I feel was acting younger than she was and as a natural girl (myself) her straight wig annoyed me. However I accepted her in the end, but was not convinced of his total devotion of love to her. I would give it 8/10 for the mere fact I could not stop watching it.

I really do like that none of the motivations of the supers in the beginning were to help people. Some wanted to use their powers for personal gain, some just wanted to lead normal lives, and one wanted to save someone. By the end they all have a common goal. And I like that it's only when they're confronted with something much bigger than themselves that they actually think about what to do with their powers.

The show was amazing. I really hope they do a second season as well as have more episodes per season. I feel this a test/teaser.

I have seen an article somewhere about this series and decided to look into it. I was very hesitant to watch it because I expected yet another generic superhero woke crap series but then decided to check out the first episode, which delivered big time. It doesn't matter if someone doesn't like superheroes or has superhero fatigue because this feels different. They never become superheroes in the sense of dedicating their lives to saving people and the world in general. They are just regular everyday people who have a lot to deal with and then get these powers on top of that, which gives them even more crap to have to deal with. I love how you mentioned The Boys because if I had to describe it to someone, I would say Heroes Season 1 mixed with The Boys. I binged the series within a 24-hour window and can't wait for season 2. To me, this series felt like a breath of fresh air with an original story with characters that could be anybody - you, me, people we know, or people we pass by on the street, not knowing what they can do or what they are up to in their lives. It was a very nice surprise and I am happy that I decided to give it a shot, otherwise, I would never have known what I missed out on. I haven't seen such a good superhero series in a long while.

It had special effects similar to Black lightning and story telling similar to the Heroes, the Future timeline anyway, i hope they go into the future in Season 2

This was just so refreshing. Comming from South London myself ,I related to all the characters. I heard that the creator, Rapman, knew he had made something that the people would want more of. Its Netlfix we have to worry about. This show didn't have any LGBTQ/DEIB/Feminism b.s. and they usually don't make shows without the "message". I'd love more seasons, but I fear Netflix will inject its nonsense somehow and the show will fade into a "what could have been". I hope not though.

I found this series because I follow Tosin Cole (Michael) from Doctor Who. I'm amazed at his acting range. And Eric Kotfi-Abrefa from BMF was a different side of his mean character in Black Mafia Family. Calvin Demba, the fast guy, was great in Youngers, where he portrayed a young rapper trying to get in the music business.

Fyi I don’t even like super heroes 😅 typically but the closest thing to superheroes i loved was the black panther ❤ so good! Rip chadwick he was amazing 🥲

I know why you don’t want to give it a number score. I’ve been hesitant to overhype it to my friends, too. We sound CRAZY giving it the score it deserves (which is quite high), so we temper expectations. I’m not holding my breath on a season 2 for reasons. That said, I’d binge it on day one should it happen. What a great first season.

I wanted to like this show so badly but all the characters with powers are written like idiots. ALL OF THEM Sickle Cell finally gets a lil show but the characters make it hard to take in. Not the actual people but how they are written. Gonna watch till the end but countless times we are putting out heads into our hands saying WTF?

I tried to watch it but got immediatly bored after 2 episodes. The acting was so cringey and the actors just dont grow on me. I just cant take british people trying to act tough seriously. I saw the show based on the hype and thats all it was to me.

It’s sad we have to Laud such a show because shows that would show us in a positive light are restricted and cut off at the knees by the powers that be.
