I purchased it in the condition it was shown in at the beginning of the video. This is how they are sold by battery hookup. I then modified it to be used in a car.
@O G AIR BENDER its fairly easy, I took mine apart and flipped two groups to make it a 12v, so instead of the criss-cross wires I now have a negative and 2 positives that will soon be joined together with a bus bar. Just have to remember to connect all the balance sides together for groups of 12 not 6
@@drfoulcheesevirus correct. Plates 2,3&4 need to be split because those plates aren’t connected. There are two of each of those plates and each needs a wire. So… depending on balancer… yellow green and white need to be conned to two plates
No sir. That is a Rebuilt JVF custom. It is an RE destroy motor on a Cerwin Vega Stroker ST154D ti style basket with an Sundown Audio X15 megaroll v2 surround
Flipping 24 cells seems like a lot more work to achieve the same outcome. However, as is often the case, there is more than one right way to do things 😊
I bought 2 of these and fully charged them to 14.6 volts also and I did not disassemble them I made them into two 12.8 Volt per super beast which should be a total of 192 amp hours at 12.8 volts to my surprise my inverter shut off at 10 volts and when I recharged both superbeasts all together only took 50 amp hours so something is not right with these batteries. 50 amp hours is not even close to 192 amp hours. Anyone else testing these?
🤔.all the ones that i have purchased have worked out pretty good. that being said… i have had a few cells crap out on me. i guess that is a risk when buying used cells. but two entire banks seems a bit much🤔. did you reach out to battery hook up?
Uhh what? It’s an 8s6p bank that needs to be converted into 2 4s6p banks. This requires cutting the 5th plate of the 8s bank in half. That’s what I did. I cut 1 plate and added jumpers. Realistically speaking the Jumpers are unnecessary but they create a self contained unit that only requires 2 external wires instead of 4🤷♂️. If all you do is “cut the big bus bar” (I’m assuming you mean plate 5 of the 8s) you end up with 2 12v banks not 1 but you do you!
