This was the first French tier 5 I got a day after 1.75 released and I instantly put a talisman on it because it is a beast. I grinded out the rest of the French tank tree with it and I still enjoy playing it for fun. It’s truly is a beast of a vehicle.

In the tank museum of the military base in Thun (Switzerland) there's one AMX-50, they implemented it in the army because they had no alternative for a medium tank at that time. But yeah, they developed their own tank pretty quickly, obviously :) It's exactly as derpy looking as it is in the game :D

Yeah the name of this tank is even funnier if you speak french. As it is, „Surbaissé“ means quite litterally lowered, or extra low. If you let one «s» slip, „Surbaisé“ would mean „overf***ed“

Have you thought about checking out the Ho-Ri Production in a video? I know you did a video on the prototype, but the production is a whole new game. Easily gets 40km/h both forward and reverse (although you have to force the reverse gears). And as long as you don't get super up-tiered their isn't much that can pen you frontally without going for LFP or view-ports. When you get into a 7.0 game you can easily hold an entire flank on your own (just watch out for side-shots or rushes with the long(ish) reload). And remove 12 round and you don't have to worry about being ammo-racked from the front.

I think revisiting the Ta-154 and seeing how it plays against the current meta would be nice.

This thing should go back to 7.7. At 8.0 it isn't really competitive today. The Foch should be 7.0 or 6.7 like the Jagtiger and SU-122-54 is.

Glad you posted this, it encourages me to keep going in French armor. I have hit a speed bump in my grind. My 4.7s are getting up tiered to 5.7 every battle since adding the M4E2. The thing isn't very good in my hands facing the 88s & 85mm guns. I'll have the 5.7 ARL 44 soon though.

The effectiveness of the ap now really shows how poor apds is in comparison, especially on long reload guns like the conqueror. A 17 second reload gun that takes 2-3 shots to kill most tanks at point blank range is just ridiculous. With the short reload meta of apds guns it works well enough, but long reload apds guns really need more damage
