Cheap petrol (10% ethanol) is the equivalent of $9.75 per gallon in the UK although our gallon is a little larger than a US gallon for some reason. Non ethanol is $10.17. 52% of our cost is Government taxes spent on anything but road repairs
I have this exact RT-S. It is just at 4800 miles. Scheduled maintenance, a set of tires (age) and two batteries so far. I did get a bad BUDS software update once, but they fixed that quickly. I also have a 2020 Ryker Rally thanks to you. I live in the Desert Southwest now, but was born in Ilwaco and my grandparents lived in Longview. Thanks for all your great content. You have saved me big bucks I am sure. My V-Twin is happy following your advice.
where I am in CA, gas has gone up 80 cents in the last 10 days. I cost me $5.19 for premium last night for the Harley. That's about 60 cents to $1 cheaper that the big name stations. I don't put cheap unknown gas in any of my vehicles, but won't pay the ridiculous amount for the big names.
Yep it's gone up here too. I think diesel, my Grand Cherokee is a diesel, was $1.89/L and she was pretty empty, $132 to fill her up. I filled Suzy Q yesterday and she cost $22.75 to top off.
Seems like you've had two issues with service communication lately. The spider belt and the F800gs service. Sure that happens, but two so close together... probably good time for a conversation before riding season does kick up.
That Spyder rider could be my long lost twin. Being retired also, gives us plenty of spair time. Patience is a virtue. The dogs-not so.!! Feeding time at the zoo is a now must. Lol. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
Sounds like the service writer needs a refresher on the importance of letting you know when a customer is waiting. I know you hate to be rushed. Did that not require a test ride? Between my van (Regular) and my bike (Premium), I'm already over $100 for the month in gas and it's only March 9th! I used to spend less than $120 for the whole month! Happy Hump Day! Peace and love.
Sister bike to my wife's (her's is a 2012 SM-5). Never short run it for sure. Gets used every year just not much but each time is a good 40 or 50 mile ride. Maybe 5000 miles on it. She loves it.
Hi there Shawn. Just wanted to let you know that you think your petrol prices are expensive. You pay by the gallon. We pay by the litre. Our price here in New Zealand is now over the $3 mark.
Hey Smoaks, I live in Sweden and these will be highly seasonally driven because of snow/cold. Is there any problem having these, Rykers/Spyders sit for 5-6 months in a cold garage?
Another problem solved and another happy customer. You're good! I hate you have to pay 5 bucks for premium. It wouldn't be so bad if this was 1968 gas. You know the rich red stuff. But it's this water they are selling for gasoline these days. You give your car indigestion with each fill up. Really sad. Stay safe my friend🤔
There wasn't an updated belt for this 2012, just a damage replacement. However, a much tougher belt was introduced in 2014 for the new 1330 motors. The 1330 belt is not compatible with the older 990 powered Spyders... Thanks Maurice!!
Sorry to say it, but we are sitting on a sea’s worth of oil here in the USA! Just let ‘em drill baby drill! The greenies are in the way. Remember gas under 2 Bucks a gallon. I do. Let’s Go Brandon!!!
