I mean, he didn't even get the chance to fight back, it was so quick, WarGreymon wiped the floor with MetalSeadramon. Was it cool? Yes, it's what made WarGreymon my favorite digimon to this day. But was it anticlimactic? Yes, it's a new villain hyped as stronger than anything before that got defeated with a single attack.

Whamon died so WarGreymon could score the kill, yet we aren't giving him any credit.

Actually, he's based off "Pierrot", a French clown-like performer.

Yea the only antagonists from both Adventure series that had biblical ties were the Devimon family , Apoclypmon , Daemon,and Vamdemon’s evolution lines . Piedmon is moreso homage to Pennywise and fear of clowns

I always thought that the reason that the dark master didn’t appear was because they were fighting the sovereigns

@@playerver1 Not a bad hunch, but Adventure 02 says that the battle between Dark Masters and the Sovereigns took place before the Digidestined came into the Digital World. Don't believe me, watch Digimon Adventure 02 episode 37.

​​@@Henry-rt6jzhey were fighting the Sacred Beasts and were preocupied with sealing them while the kids battled Devimon and escaped File Island. At that moment Piemon was preocupied with sealing Qinglongmon. And why would they be afraid of the Royal Knights? If they can fight and defeat the Sacred Beasts they can fight the Royal Knights as well since both groups are on par. Sometimes the Sacred Beasts are even vastly above.

@@theonewhoismany8072 Sometimes, but not all the time. Besides if that were the case, then where were the Royal Knights throughout that entire time? If the Dark Masters were indeed THAT POWERFUL, why didn't the knights intervene when they remade the Digital World into Spiral Mountain? And another thing, if the Dark Masters were indeed on par with the Royal Knights, then the Digidestined would not have stood a chance against any of them. As a matter of fact, MetalSeadramon would have devoured WarGremon during their battle, regardless of Whamon's intervention and the Dramon Destroyers.

I think mega was more of a fresh idea which is why they didn't give every partner a mega. I mean they literally changed Machinedramon level to mega since in the ps1 digimon world game it was classified as a ultimate level digimon.

​@@AlexMartinez-gv7hyUltimate is the term for Mega in Japan, Machinedramon is infact the first one created.

@minicle426 I was using our terms. In Japan when Digimon World came out the highest level was perfect which Machinedramon was classified as, then Ultimate was created and he was placed into that level.

Pinocchimon literally one shoted him in the novel even while he was using Brave Shield to defend.

Technically HolyAngemon killed Piemon.

Well to be fair the 2 he defeated are Dramon type digimon, which is why his dramon destroyer destroyed them. It's also why they are double-edged swords since WarGreymon is a Dragon kin type.

Also MetalGarurumon ended Puppetmon, there wasn't much involvement of WarGreymon

This happened in the Japanese version as well.
