Super Doodle Gel Pens Review 

Thank you for the tip for how to keep track of pens you might want to use some more on a picture. I'm getting it 6 years late but better late than never! I love your channel. I've learned so much.

Hi Jennifer, I love all your utubes, and I follow you on your website for ur weekly video. After seeing how u color coded your gel pens here. It gave me the idea, I bought one of the 160 colored pencil books for my gelwriter gel pens, cause I have other gel pens as well. I just wasnt sure how to make sure they went back in the same place. UR video gave me the idea I needed. Thank you. Also for my prisma color pencils I had a hard time remember where they went I took my label make and typed the numbers vertical and placed them under the pencils. I now know where they go with ease. thanks for all you do for the coloring world.

I can't wait to add these gel pens to my stash. I haven't been this excited in a while to try a new product even if I have to buy it myself. When my family asks me for gift suggestions. I've finally developed the courage to ask for gift cards for art supplies rather than have others buy what they think I might like. Wow... that is SUCH a great, comprehensive and smart way to review a set of gel pens! And I absolutely LOVE how you swatched them! That was an absolutely brilliant idea! I’m very very into swatching. At the moment, I’ve put my colouring on hold just so I can do swatches for every single pen I have. I do my swatches by brand and then, I have like a master swatch for say all the violet classic pens (all brands and order them from dark/blue violet to violet to red violet) and then do a different swatch page for all the brands of violet neon pens (again from dark violet to light), then I do another separate page again for the classics, metallics and pastels of all the violet gel pens I have. After that, I’m going to do the same four pages (one page all glitter, another page all neon, another page for metallic and another page for my favourite, the classic colours) in all the other colours - reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, violets, pinks and then I also do the unusual sort of ones like the bieges, browns, silvers, golds, blacks etc together on another four pages - glitter, neon, metallic and classic for each colour. So that when I’m colouring something, if I want a certain violet glitter for example, I look at my master swatch for violet glitters (I have them all numbered with a cut out number from a graph sheet with say GPG09 for Gel Pen Glitter 09) and it’s not limited by brands so I know exactly what pen I want out of all the brands, the single pens I buy etc. It is a definite massive chore, which people say I seem to like to do (set myself huge chores) but it’s worth it when I’m finished because then I can see the entire range of violet pens I have that I could possibly use. But this is suuuuuch a great idea for reviewing individual brands and something I’m going to emulate now whenever I buy any packs. Thank you so much for this review. Love your videos! On your live show last week, you mentioned these gel pens saying this review was coming up. I got mine a few days ago and I'm so glad to see the review and the worksheets. I, too, am excited to see reviews of Colorit gel pens and Colorit pencils. I've already begun making me a swatch sheet for the pencils! Thank you so much for all the work you put into this. I bet it's great having a job where you get to COLOR! I'm afraid my family is ready to do a "coloring intervention" on me!

I have been using Super Doodle for about six months. I have the 50 and 36 set. I just got the 80 set and love it. I am particularly happy that it has so many browns and more neutral colors. I find those are the hardest to find in gel pens. I love coloring nature pics which can be challenging without the browns and grays

I have this set and it is my favorite set. No gel pen is 100% perfect but these are the best quality I have tried. This is a great brand of quality gel pens. I love all the uncommon colors that I use in my coloring books for plants and tree trunks, etc. Great video.

This is a great review I also did the same thing with my gel pens and my options are the Blu neo classic blue and light blue glitter is very awesome and they are pink I had Neon pink I had problems with

I love it how organised you are! I would also add numbers to each swatch, makes it easier to remember which get used on a page (though the idea of turning them backwards works too, of course). Very useful video, thank you.

You give the best reviews. I had a 100pk of the Sargent pens and wish I'd done the swatches under the pens like you did. The Sergeants are great but this set had a lot of colors that don't come with the Sargent set. Your videos have brought the fun of coloring to a whole new level. There's no such thing as too many gel pens. I'm also into coloring pencils which I store in a book folder. Wish someone would start making the book folders specifically for gel pens that'll hold the larger sets.

8-21-18 i just watched your video again, about a mth after watching ur it 2017 i bought the set. I just had to have the them. I swatched them out like u did. I take them in my art kit every place i go.My drs never run on timr LOL!!!!! I take ur tri tone set, and my Cailart markers, pending project mainly markers instead of pencils. Glad my waler has a pouch under it LOL.....I so thankful for ur product reviews, spend more hehehe but at least ive seen the product in action from a reliable source. A BLISSFUL THANKS

Another awesome video! These pens look and perform exactly like my glitter gel writers. I wonder if they are manufactured by the same company just different names. Since you do own the GelWriters maybe do a side by side comparison. Under the Gel Writer name they are a bit more expensive. I think I will be ordering a set of these super doodles! I volunteer at a prison. I am having the time of my life teaching Coloring Therapy for the Soul. The inmates, all male, tell me that my class is the most popular class behind bars! I can only offer 15 spots at a time. We had a coloring contest and One-Eyed Mike won. He's now my assistant because he's taken the class three times. However, I must tell you we color all types of pages, from mandalas, to simple doodles, to replicating original artwork I use in my adult coloring books featuring vintage postcards or illustrations from the public domain. My pages are the most challenging. I noticed there was one inmate who consistently selected my pages over the easier ones. On his evaluation of the class, he wrote, "I love this class...P.S. I'm colorblind." Now that struck me as interesting. And I figured out why he was reluctant to choose the simple B/W illustrations. My grayscale sketches are located next to the original artwork, so he is able to choose a colored pencil that appears similar to what he sees and go from there. Amazing!!!! I would love to bring a set of glitter doodle gel pens to the class and teach them your techniques. I go to class hauling my "rig" (file box on wheels) full of my coloring supplies, which they are invited to use while I'm there. I leave behind an old Tourister suitcase filled with Sharpies, several sets of 12 Koh-I-Nor pencils, sharpeners, and coloring pages. My assistant, One-Eyed Mike, then keeps track of the supplies which they are allowed to sign out for a certain amount of time. They have refills now, so I'm getting this set soon.

I have a book with all my gel pens swatches and I only have two brands Staples which come with 36 gel pens and the Super Doodle which comes with 24 gel pens. What I do is under the color I give it a number and on the pen I give it the same number the it’s color got. You guys should try this it works really well for me.

I started my gel pen odyssey with Super Doddle. I loved them, however, I have since found that other brands that come with refills and these gel pens don’t hold as much ink as others do. I love the pen grip on them but it’s not a deal breaker if they don’t have one.

When you test on the black area is it an area you colored black with a marker OR a piece of black paper that you attached to the review sheet?

Bought these pens after watching your review. Loved the pens, very juicy with great colours; but, they came with 5 pens that didn’t work and one with a broken clip. When I contacted amazon to get a straight replacement I was told that the manufacturer didn’t offer that service. I could send them back with free shipping but would have to pay shipping to replace the defective product. Any suggestions on a comparable product?

These look almost identical to a brand called Color Technick, same packaging, pen style, do you know if they are the same company/maker?

I noticed when you turned the package over and said on this side you can see the whole pain, it occurred to me you can also see how much ink is left in the barrel. That's important to me because there are times when I have say a mandala, and I know I'm going to use a lot of one color, I will pick a pink, for example, that has more ink in it than one that's almost out.

They look really fun. I also own a set of glitter gel pens and really like how smooth they colour. But what to do if you run out of a specific colour and they are not labelled? That means you can't buy them individually, right?

I enjoy and value your testing critique you use with ALL the products... I have just put my pjs on or would be dashing out to find this Super Doodle gel pen set of 80!!!! Your honesty about the performance of each pen is AWESOME! ! Also, your solution to the color swatching is profound and I would definitely do the same... *** I HOPE THE MANUFACTURERS PAY ATTENTION TO THAT!! In addition to the packaging I agree with you that grouping them in the the color wheel fashion makes the best sense as well. Simply by your overall evaluation I already plan to get 2 sets at first purchase... I hate not being able to find items later on once I have used a great many. Jen, I wanted to ask your opinion about something about the packaging of these gorgeous pens. I love the 4 separate sections but I also watched you needing to make enuff space for the big unit. Are there any perforations to use to separate them? If not, how much do you think that may or may not be helpful??? If it could work within the color wheel would be just too much to expect or ask... but I would be interested on your opinion~ since you are lucky ducky to have in hand. What if instead of coloring that card and then having to keep track of where those pens are going, you go get some of them teenie sticker labels, color the label and stick it to the pen. ...actually I'm gonna try it myself. I might have some floating around. I know some ink types won't write on some labels.

Gel pens. I bought a set and find they run out so fast that to me they are not a good value, not worth buying.
