We look at 3 pattern sheets...and it gives a very clear indication of whether our gun is shooting where we look. We need to know if our gun is shooting...low...high...to the left or to the right. To shoot 24's and 25's regularly we need to periodically go to the pattern board to keep our gun fine tuned. It reaffirms and gives us confidence that we are shooting where we look. I think part of this is psychological. You know that you pull slightly to the left, so for the critical single shot you overcompensate and shoot slightly to the right. The height seems to be consistent. Again, once you are immune to the competition that will even itself out. If I might offer some advice: treat every shot in the most casual shooting as if it were the make-or-break for Olympic competition.

How do you fine tune your gun to shoot more accurately? Is it adjusting the stock or the choke or the barrel? Thank you and your videos are great!!

Go to the pattern board...see your point of impact and then move your adjustable stock in the same direction you want your shot to go Stay well!!!

Did you learn on a SxS? I would imagine part of your left and right pull may be ingrained from shooting with a side by side rather than over under.

When I am patterning my gun on a board sheet do i aim the bead in the middle of black dot or directly down below it ?

bassam... you do not look at the bead at all ...you look at the black dot and shoot...just look at the target and shoot...happy shooting...!!!

Should I pattern both barrels on the same target or should I shoot 5 with the bottom and switch targets for the top?

Pattern the bottom barrel and then with another sheet pattern the top barrel...the top barrel may shoot a little lower but thats ok because by the time you shoot the top barrel the clay is not climbing as fast!

Shoot at the pattern board at 35 to 40 yards because that is the distance that we usually break the clays at...good luck! Do not aim just look at the mark on your pattern sheet.

Roger Pace okay. If I’m consistently to the left or right does that does that Determine my eye dominance? I’m a left handed shooter and just doing the thumb test I’m right eye dominant but when I mount my gun and point at something with both eyes open and close my right eye I seem to be pointing right where I want it too? Confusing.

Roger have you shot the AA Winchester rounds? They are a bit more expensive but apparently they have a very consistent pattern. I haven't tried them but wanted to see if you have. And any thoughts if you have.

Ralph...I have shot the AA Winchester...and they were very good...I use the Champions because it's much more convenient to buy them from the club...and they are a bit cheaper.
