Do you have a preference for a headlight when using it for testing or producing a load. I need to add a light to my troubleshooting "tool box", which one do you recommend?
I use an 4656 bulb that has high and low beam, here is my build: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b_oK4OQ64Js.html&ab_channel=RainCityWrench
Hey man great pinpoint test! Do you have any clue as to why the failure? I've had mine on 21 f450 done once under warranty now failure again 1 year later 77k on motor its a hauler of camper frequently loaded always clean best quality fuel available and EDT treatment for the pump lubrication so well maintained any thoughts are appreciated keep up great videos keep em up
I don't. Just one of those things I guess. Could be a part that is so sensitive, it has a high failure rate. My 13 Super Duty had one go out in less than 10K. So far so good on my 22 SD 🤞 It does sound like you are doing everything right at least.
I'm going out on a limb here. I've read and discussed that these failures are due to "out of date" DEF. My local stealership has 4 on the shelf and the nearest metro only has 1 on the shelf. They fail frequently. Anyway, I'm going to try and soak one in Berryman B-12 Chemtool overnight, then blow it off inside and out. I'll have that old part sitting on the shelf. Evidently, they are the same # LC3Z5L248A.
I cannot get the dealer to do this test like shown here. they clear the code and say it's done. 10 damn minutes is all it takes. I though harley was bad screwing you over, well ford is just as bad!
