Made this recipe and we absolutely LOVED it! It was my first time making a pot roast, but it will not be my last time using this recipe. I made mine in the crock pot on high for 3 hours instead. Thanks a bunch! 😊

Best pot roast I’ve ever made! I made this for Sunday Supper I did not have bouillon cubes so I put in a cup of red wine. I did not have Worchester so I put in Noble Made Classic Marinade. I also added frozen peas 5 minutes before pulling out of oven. I used sweet potatoes and cooked them separately as I like the sides crispy not soggy. It roasted for 3 hours and my dog started crying by the oven after 45 minutes of cook time. It was a delicious success! ❤😊
It’s cracks me up when people always comment on recipes like “made this and love it!!! Except I didn’t have this item so I added something else. I also changed this and a few other things. I also cooked my potatoes completely different. ” Girrrlll you didn’t even make this recipe 😂

okay so i made this and added a few other ingredients and steps from another recipe and wow this was aaaamaaazing. im 22 and i did this. this is something my grandmother would make for me. so flavourful, i didn't have to add any extra salt or anything!

I'm a little confused about this video. You said cook the roast on 350 but you're using a crock pot so are you cooking the roast in the oven or in the crock pot? & if you're using the crockpot are we to cook it on high or low for 3 hours?
The last time I cooked a pot roast sad to say was about 15 years ago. I went to King Kullen the lady who puts the meat out showed me what type of meat I should buy and how to cook it in the oven it came out so tender. All I had to do was pull it apart with a fork that's how tender it was there is no King Kullen by me Dee's recipes that I'm looking at they're putting in slow cookers and on top of the stove not what I'm looking for

A great big shout out to you sista friend for helping to make my very first pot roast. I cooked it in the crockpot on high which took about 5 hours. Next time I’ll use the oven. I also had to leave out the sprigs as I didn’t have any. Nevertheless, this turned out so deliciously flavorful and savory. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it ❤

Looks amazing. But I’m a lil confused. I thought you said you was cooking it in a slow cooker. But then you said you put it in on 350? 🤔 My slow cooker only says warm, low and high

Looks so good. I’m getting fat watching all these YT cooking videos and then trying them out. We make a very similar pot roast in the ol crock pot. What I like about pot roast is you can use an inexpensive cut like chuck and get your beef fix for cheap. Feed a group and everybody loves it. The only difference in our recipe is we put a little tomato paste and a spoon of sugar. Otherwise the same seasoning and side veggies. We like ours with a creamy horseradish sauce, sour cream, horseradish, cracked pepper and chives

I was wondering the same thing. I had to Google it, looks like high setting is the one we want here. Low is like 200 F or so, while high is 300 F and up.
@@chazhandy Yes, I wrapped the potatoes, carrots separately in aluminum foil, placed them on top. After the release, I removed the meat and vegetables. Change the setting to saute. Mix two tablespoons of cornstarch with a little water, then add to the pot, whisk well. Saute until desired thickness, turn it off. Add the meat and vegetables back to pot. Enjoy.

Love a good beef pot roast better than steak 🥩. Looking good. I just use Lipton onion soup mix and veggies. Must try this recipe for a different twist. Be blessed.

I’m a severe cook-noob and I’m learning the ropes by myself. I don’t know if this is a dumb question, but my crockpot doesn’t give off heat temperatures like 350, 400, etc, it just has high, low and warm with different hours of cook time, so how do I know it’s on 350 😭
