I fixed this cake twice. Brought it to a party and it was the biggest hit. So moist, so delicious. I also made your cream cheese icing to put on top. Then added toasted walnuts and almond extract. I cannot wait to make it again. Thank you SOOOOO much.

Hi I am from Trinidad and I made your almond cake recipe yesterday. I just tasted it on a quie and relaxing Sunday evening. It was delicious and perfect. Next time I would use one tablespoon of sugar less than the recipe but it was super. My husband loves it. Made it for his birthday. I placed it on top of a chocolate cake with your frosting recipe in the middle and around. The combination was so delicious. Will stick to this place rrecipe. Thank u and may Allah richly bless u

Heya! :) Hmmm it could be the type of almond flour used! I believe half de-oiled means that some or all or the fat has been removed from it, which perhaps makes it drier and therefore the batter would be more dense? You could make your own almond flour by finely grinding blanched almonds in a food processor :)
@@CakesbyMK thanks for the response! So you actually use grinded almonds as "almond flour"? think that would have made it better... Didn´t like the taste to be honest - the cake was very dry :/ even thou I added milk to the batter.
