My S80 is reaching high temps and the Fan is not Turning on when It should, It is working and turning on sometimes. Do you think replacing this control unit will help?

Best guess is yes. We were having some bad but intermittent overheating issues and this fix squared up all of them.

Does anyone know if a 2017 V60 control unit should also have 3 connections? Mine has the same control unit but only 1 of 2 connections used on the bottom. Issue is fan will not run.

What systems and or codes did you get to determine the controller needed replacement ? Very nice video

I wasn’t getting any codes, just an overheat warning. Opened hood and noticed cooling fan would only spool up for a moment and stop. Ran an OBD scan tool to see coolant temps in real time. Can remeber exact intervals, but fan is supposed to kick on when coolant temp sensor hits certain level. Also replaced coolant thermostat while troubleshooting this issue.
