Regarding crows: Of course, they are not sea birds,as you already knew. But the crow is a magnificent creature, intelligence virtually unparalleled. For,they are members of the Corvid family. Ravens,Jays, even magpies. They come to the seashore for the same reason that gulls leave the seashore, they are opportunistic, and will look around anywhere for food. Second only to the parrots, these crows are incredibly intelligent. I love them. I want to mention something that I also recieved, alongside this year’s advent calendar. It’s my fourth purchase of a little box frame, with plastic finds arranged in it! The first 3,from a few years ago, they are little beach plastic flower arrangements, they are heavenly. This latest one is more like an arrangement that you would see in a museum,as a museum curator is an artist in their own right, they know how to direct the eyes of the observer. This piece,it is a gaze-worthy thing. Nicole is the curator. 😌
We love crows and occassionally we will give them a little piece of bread when we eat a sandwich by the beach :) They are never as aggressive as seagulls ( which we also love!). Thanks ever so much for the very kind comment regarding the plastic art and thanks so much for your support Charles xo
Glad to see you back on the beach 💖Loved those blues, tiny but beautiful ones and a BIG one!!. And the cranberry one Craig did find. You did find a lot actually., A big red brick-heart in front of Nicole. Nice to see hearts. 💞💞
That is such an awesome beach! I'm a BIG fan of the worn brick pieces which were everywhere but also the little shells, sea pottery and glass and of course the star find! :) Thanks for a lovely and fun episode, thoroughly enjoyed it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PS. No beach where I in Colorado but we do have ravens and crows, not to mention wild turkeys.
I would have freaked out to find either piece!😊 But sorry Craig I went crazy for the blue! Lol Thanks for the lovely video❤ Glad your back home nice and safe❤
Loved being back on the beach with you two😊🌊 And what awesome finds! That electric turquoise was meant to be found by you-just the edge of it peeking out of the sand. But the pink/red was beautiful. You hate to see large pieces of trash on a beach, but the shopping cart was straight out of Davey Jones’ Locker, complete with its own treasures stuck in the concretions. Great trip!
Kirkcaldy is my favourite place. I've been about 4 times in 2 months. Every time I find something fab, just last weekend I found 2 vulcanite bottle stoppers, made my day as ive never found them before.. Anyway, I wanted to say you have helped me work out a piece of pottery I found which is the seafield tower gingerbread bottle you mention here. So thank you for that, mystery solved. I think I also have a bit of that electric blue glass too, not as big as yours though!
Kirkcaldy is such an amazing beach and the burn keeps changing direction and reshaping the beach - it's very small just now, but we'va waded through it with wellies before, nearly falling in because it was so strong! There are usually nice pieces in the burn as well ;)
@@scottishmudlarkingyes the burn was quite fast flowing with steep banks last time we went. I got some pottery from the burn. It is amazing how it keeps changing!
I love your finds! We were on the same beach that day (we're just in the background with the little kids running about) and I found a half marble! My very first one so it's a win. We all had great finds that day! I've been waiting in anticipation to see the piece you found and it didn't disappoint!
I liked that gray stone with all the patterns to the right of the glass you picked at 6:19. That beach is pretty much free of trash, Google Seabird Crows Along the Oregon Shore. Also : "Fish Crows"... Then (sigh) there was the tire & the shopping cart. .
