actually, Super Junior are not the male version of snsd... snsd are the female version of Super Junior xD before the debut of Super Junior, the maximum number of korean groups' members was 5/6 and Super Junior was the first group ever to have many members.. Super Junior are the ones who started the trend of "many members" (and launched many other things.....enumerating Super Junior's achievements is so tiring because they are SOOOO MANY) Due to their huge success, korean companies started to create groups with many members hoping to be successful like SJ. btw, sm was about to name snsd : Super Girls XDDD anyways, thank you for your Super Junior reaction! i like it ^_^ and i hope that you will react more to their songs!!! they're the kpop kings and hallyu wave leaders! they're the ones who paved the way for the other kpop groups and made kpop worldwide :D ♥♥♥👑

That was a nice reaction! Almost no one reacts to SJ non-title songs and then they say they only have dance tracks... btw, the short guy with the high voice is Ryeowook and the other one is indeed Kyuhyun and they are main vocals for SJ. Courus is usually on a track because their voices are mixed in more (they are in the courus and then they also sing live adlibs over it). But I too wish they would try to do it all live. Subunit KRY (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung) is usually all live in concerts.

In KPOP In general I've noticed the substantial reliability on backing vocals on a track. I Get it. I tend to get annoyed when groups don't even mouth the words to a backing track haha. I'm digging SJ so far!

These moments of live vocals without heavy backing track seem to be rare in kpop, like they don't want their singers to actually sing lol. They value spectacle and showy performances. If you watch competition shows of how groups are formed you'd see how they value dancing, choreography and overall look of an idol than vocal ability. Super Junior have a very good amount of vocal talent but not all of them get to show it on a regular basis :( downside of a big group. "Are they the male girls' generation?" You could say that they are kinda counterparts of each other but Super Junior came first. They pioneered the trend for large groups and due to the grp's success with this large group idea, their company, SM entertainment decided to create a female counterpart - which is Girls' Generation.
