Super Kid Icarus has stood among the ranks of canned Nintendo projects for decades now. Despite this, is there any truth to the claims of its existence? Well, in short, no, but I SWEAR the video is interesting enough to watch anyways!

The Atari E.T. thing turned out to be real. AFAIK, everyone thought it was rumor.

I'm glad to see you again, too! I'm trying to get a bi-weekly schedule down, which I've managed to do somehow, lol! I'm still working on the big Mario 3 video, though I'm glad I've been able to find time to make some smaller videos in the meantime

Super Mario and DK and Zelda and Metroid were all Nintendo franchises that got SNES sequels after getting Game Boy sequels, I think only Kid Icarus and Balloon Fight didn't manage this. A similar story happens with other franchises that appeared on NES, disregarding those created by Rare. Kid Icarus does seem to stand out in this way.

Kid Icarus in general has always had a weird development or release. Kid Icarus on the NES reuses a lot of Metroid's engine and was nearly canceled, while Uprising in general had an incredibly strange development due to Sakurai being a freelancer and hand selecting the team for it. Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters is the only one that doesn't have some outrageous story behind it, as far as I'm aware. Also, dude, Balloon Kid on Game Boy rocks that game is awesome
