Agreed these are pro players so we never get to see what Bowser can do. The first time I faced him I had no clue what to do especially as we grew up on the SNES. But I do think Bowser should have been much harder.
I remember playing this on the DS. Good memories but fighting Bowser on this was one of the hardest things in my life. I kept on trying and trying but I won. I won at like 2 AM or something and I showed my sister but she was dead tired.
When using Yoshi, it's harder, because he cannot pick Bowser up in his normal form. He has to grab a cap, which will transform him into whichever character has the cap he's wearing, and then he will be able to pick him up. However, Yoshi cannot enter the Final Bowser Level, because Bowser will not allow him to, but will only allow Mario to.
Hey man, when I'm watching your walkthroughs and hearing your commentary, you can hear when you hit puberty because your voice starts getting all deep xD lol it feels like I watched you grow up.
That's why i don't like Bowser in this game: that's not an actual fight but a technical demo for the analog stick, which is not present here, in the DS version

Thinking about this makes me think of who I used to refer to as the Bowser clone in Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. According to the Wiki, that character is called Bowser Brother. Maybe the manual mentioned him as Bowser's brother. Anyways, what happened to him? He could have been renamed, so that we do not have to keep calling him Bowser's brother. I got what happened in this game (Super Mario 64), Bowser keeps teleporting away, and the proof is in the Nintendo 64 manual. I wonder if the Nintendo DS version also mentions it. I'm not going to spoil Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels for people who have not played that game.
i can see the reason behind this. to me, the n64 version hits closer to home than a remake ever will. the graphics of the models, the music and voice lines, just generally everything about super mario 64 ( for the n64, of course ) gives off levels beyond a form of nostalgia that i can't even begin to fully explain.
Imagine it was Sonic the Hedgehog 64 DS with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow Vs Eggman for the rescue of Amy. Awesome that just pure awesomeness. 👍😃🙂

I just realized something: this entire boss fight (on the N64) was conceived as a way to show off the analog stick. We take it for granted now but the N64 was the first to really implement it in a way that made it necessary for other consoles to adapt it.
Nobody else probaly wasn't thinking this but growing up with the N64 version of Super Mario 64 I use to call Bowser in the third and final battle Rainbow Bowser since when you do battle we actually does look as if he had a rainbow look on him or maybe this was just me after all I was a little kid at the time.
Does anyone else think that bowser’s laugh in this version sounds different compared to the n64 version? In the original it’s a lot more deep and menacing, but in this game it sounds a bit more higher-pitched and weird.
