Was my first mario game as well. Never beat it as kid, I did just recently and I do find it hard still. Even if there are easy tricks to get infinite lives which make it way easier if you do them.
Interesting thing is if it's Super Mario World. Larry is in World 7 Morton is still in World 2 Wendy is in World 6 Iggy is in World 1 Roy is still in World 5 Lemmy is in World 3 Ludwig is in World 4
One thing that Mario U got right was the boss fight with Boom Boom having different abilities each fight and the Koopaligs in there own airships just like Mario 3.
A lot of people don't know but this game is literally just Super Mario All-Stars Super Mario Bros 3 n Lee Trevino and Super Mario All-Stars Super Mario Bros 3
How are the Koopalings(including Bowser Jr. despite not being in this game) are able to be jumped on but not Bowser? I think that 1:Bowser is hunched down, exposing more of his shell upward, and 2:the spikes on his shell are sharper too. Bowser. Jr and the Koopalings are able to stand straight upward, and the spikes on their shells are not as big and sharp, and they have less. This doesn’t just apply with this game, it’s this way with others too.

You sucked at the bowsers battle your suppose to stay in the middle when he tries to sit on you but you timed it off when you avoided bowser sitting on you you either jumped to the sides of the bricks or on the metal bricks idk why you would do that but it really doesn't make sense after bowser shoots 3 fireballs go the middle so he could die through bricks
