Eh, I'll take Doki Doki panic over the "real" Super Mario Bros. 2, anyway. The Lost Levels feels more like a rom-hack than a sequel, and it feels like the developers built the game to be punishing rather than challenging. A lot of the flow from the original game's superb level design is gone because of this, too. Also, the funny thing about Doki Doki panic was that the game began development as a Super Mario Bros. sequel with an emphasis on vertical platforming, but Nintendo eventually changed the project into Dream Factory: Doki Doki Panic when they got the rights to use the Dream Factory characters.

Though I agree, this game wasn't really a risk...this game is a clone of 'Doki Doki Panic!' used as a replacement for the real "Super Mario Bros 2.", which Nintendo felt was too difficult of a game for gamer's outside of Japan to grasp. Zelda 2 is a different story, even then I wouldn't call it a "risk" as the series hadn't really had set 'rules' that it needed to follow. like they feel it does today.

What about almost every new Sonic game? Lol, they keep screwing up though. Lost World was terrible and Sonic Boom looks even worse.

Technically, this version of SMB2 is a bootleg of a game called "Doki Doki Panic". The Japanese SMB2 was essentially SMB1 with a few changed textures and levels deemed "too hard for western audiences".

He doesn't actually breathe. A lot of this is samples then digitized, then digitally edited. He then records video after the music is finished. All he has to do is lip sync every channel after that. This is why you don't hear breathing on ANY of the audio channels. Technically this isn't really live acapella.

You can breathe through your nose very quickly between notes if you practice long enough. I was in chorus for a lot of years and we all had to learn how to do this so we could sing without breaking a note to breathe.

Its not a Mario game, it started as a game called doki doki panic. But they felt the game would do better in America as a Mario game so they changed how the characters looked to make them Mario characters. This is why a lot of the enemy's are original, if it was originally made to be a Mario game it would have been mostly koopas and gombas with maybe one or two new enemy's. This is also why peach is not useless in this game, they had a floaty female character in doki doki panic and peach was the only female Mario character at the time so they made peach the floaty girl character.
