This version of the song may not sound exactly how you remember it. Check out this video to find out why. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4OXKeSgcsS4.html
@@BrysonWrighttactually this song has had a massive, massive cultural impact on its own, whereas All I Want For Christmas Is You further separates Christmas from the celebration of Jesus's birth, instead focusing on the gift receiving aspect of Christmas. Not really sure how this is "worshipping".
@@jannieseth There were games before pong, e.g. oxo (1952), tennis for two (1958), spacewar (1962), gran trak 10 (1974) gun fight (1975) and only last 3 i mentioned were black and white, the others only have 1 color pong is the FIRST arcade game, in 1971.
Most video games today would've never existed if it wasn't for a pair of Italian plumbers that helped save the industry, everybody give thanks to the Super Mario Brothers
@@shaolinfang3520 Actually, video games got more popular for mario. if it wasnt for mario, video games (not arcade games) wouldve never been popular or even existed so another game, or maybe even no games would have ever existed
Thankfully, the new Mario games like Bowser's Fury and especially Super Mario Odyssey are really faithful to the classic feel of the old games, but I know what you mean. Video games now (with some notable exceptions) are flashy cash grabs with no care for fun or passion, like Outriders, AC: Valhalla, RE3 Remake, and Spiderman Miles Morales just to name a few. Gaming is in a low spot right now, in my opinion
The feeling of having fun, relaxing and just in general, playing Now kids just want that "10 kill victory royale and do cringe dances" or else they aren't satisfied
Congratulations to Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, and most importantly Koji Kondo on the Super Mario Bros. Theme being the first video game music to be enshrined in the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress!
Absolutely! Koji also composed the music for my all time favorite game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The End Credits & Staff Roll themes from that game are legendary!
Diarrhea is better than that garbage. Just another pointless online game where you slaughter each other for no reason. No story, no character history, nothing. Just a bunch of retards duking it out for the sake of cheap entertainment.
+DjGameK1ng it is the JESUS of Gaming....without it we dont have CoD Battlefield WoW...ect... completely opposite of E.T...that thing not only nearly endangered the gaming industry..but the whole electronic technological achievement for centuries to come...
It didn't save gaming at all. Gaming would have recovered from the crash with or without Mario. However with more competition it wouldn't have become so famous. Mario bros became so incredibly successful because there were almost no other titles that could seriously compete with it. Mario Bros came out the perfect time, when the demand for video games was rapidly on the rise but the production had just collapsed and was in no state to deliver on that demand.
I disagree completely. Mario didn't lead to COD. That would be Duke Nukem (1991), Wolfenstein 3D (1992) and Doom (1993). Those were all originally computer games, not console games. That is where your FPS games originated. WoW also...computer related. Mario Bros definitely brought back/saved the home video game console though.
Anybody agree that Super Mario is very awesome? EDIT: I'm back here and this song is still so amazing, I don't know how but it's a classic every time :)
This song will always hold a special place in my heart. Mario isn't my favorite series by a long shot, but I'll always remember when my dad showed me his old Nintendo Entertainment System and we played Super Mario Bros together. Sure, I haven't played in years, but this remains the only video game I ever played with my father. Dad is dead now, and I inherited the NES. One of these days, I'm gonna boot it up, and I'm gonna beat this game.
@@psyxypher3881 well for me it doesn’t matter who you are what’s more important for me is that you lost important man and i should support you because you feel bad so I think this will make you smile maybe not unfortunately that all i can do and if this message will make you happy it means that i done my job merry Christmas and happy new year bro :)
At the time of writting this, its marios 35 anniversary. Its insane how the mario series managed to keep up with the years and still not die. Very nostalgic
@@treebobs6126 nintendo did get greedy however that didn't stop their games from being good ( unless you are talking about mario maker 2 online multiplayer )
It's crazy to think that this ONE song is recognized by nearly if not everyone in the entire world. Super iconic (no pun intended) and if there's one song that is a huge part of my childhood it's definitely this one. I really loved the movie and I hope that decades from now, kids will still be playing mario games
LEGO MARIO IS FINALLY COMING!!!! Edit: Lego Mario isn’t that bad. We’ve had a lot worse Lego products than Lego Mario. At least the character translated well into Lego form.
My dad had the original Nintendo system. My brother and I would play super mario bros all the time but could never beat the game. My dad finally stepped in and beat the whole game first try in years. Thinking back it brings a tear to my eye whenever I hear this or it just pops onto may head.
@@kalinhendricks9842 i hope its in the opening and they just like zoom throughout the landscape i really want to hear it during the movie and not at the end
Who just came here to listen to the theme, after watching the Mario Bros movie and finding out the song was just preserved as the first video game ost to be preserved for history? Because god this song is so comforting.
Hey Mario fans! I have just released my self-made debut album CRASTI LAND a few weeks ago. Super Mario and his adventures have inspired my whole music persona a lot, so I thought I'd share the news with other Mario fans. I am struggling to reach listeners despite the hard work so, kindly and respectfully, I would appreciate every listen & review! Have a mushroom day huehuehue!
Who from India in his/her 30's listening to this. We are grown-ups but still i want my childhood back. I remember playing this game for the entire night. After the Brick game this was my first fantasy world. This generation of kids will never realize how good it was for us. Really can't forget..!!

Like 40 years later and I’m humming this song to my 6 year old son now. He is like sing me that silly song daddy. I’m like silly, it’s a legend. And here I am showing him the song now. I was a little younger than him when I first played Mario in 80’s
Wanna know how old my Dad is? We just found his Nintendo NES in the basement. We plugged it into the TV, and it it was having a little trouble. Until Dad hit it. All of a sudden, the TV lit up and we heard this. Suddenly, Dad was eight years old again. He's a USMC combat wounded Afghanistan vet. He lost his left arm (please, keep your opinions of the conflict to yourself and don't make any jokes, this man fought for freedom!). Holy smokes, it was really embarrassing. *I* was schooled in a video game for once! Me, Dad, and my girlfriend Lelia all three took a crack at the game. I got to level three, Lelia got to level five. And Dad, goddamn he literally single handedly beat the game! If you're wondering how, he was holding the controller sideways. Marines really are built to improvise!
We're the Mario Brothers, and plumbing's our game We're not like the others who get all the fame If your sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double We're faster than the others, you'll be hooked on the Brothers, uh!
Do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side Come on, it's time to go. Do the Mario! Take one step, and then again Let's do the Mario, all together now! You got it! It's the Mario! Do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side Come on, it's time to go. Do the Mario! Take one step, and then again Let's do the Mario, all together now! Come on now. Just like that!
The Super Mario Bros. theme becomes the first video game song to be selected for archival in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress.
