Dr.Wily i Have Ideas for evolutions videos ideas: Evolution of the Fuzzy Evolution of the Magikoopa/Kamek Evolution of the Koopalings Evolution of the Spike or FISHY BOOPKINS Evolution of the Mario Power-Ups
I think the reason Mechakoopas only showed up in the last level was so they could introduce what they are and how they work, otherwise you would find yourself confused in Bowser's boss fight unable to fight back. Mario games have this thing of presenting a mechanic in a not so important situation, to then use them again in a different way so you can use the skills you learned.
It's too bad this video wasn't made after SMM2, which really does more with Mechakoopas than any prior appearances, with the Zappa and Blasta variants and the ability to make them fly.
I wonder if he's seen the super Mario maker 2 update? Not only did they added the mechakoopa but also added two variants, the Blasta mechakoopa a red mechakoopa that fires homming missiles and the Zappa mechakoopa a blue mechakoopa that fires a laser beam capable of breaking blocks. Also in night mode they all gain the ability of flying with jets coming from their feet.
Nerdytimes Now that I think about it, Mechakoopas are basically just galoombas except they follow you. Maybe Nintendo realized this and that’s why we got new variations in Super Mario Maker 2.
You could have added that in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U/3DS, the Mechakoopa is Bowser Jr.'s Down special: They walk around the stage, and explode in contact. However, if he don't hit anyone, he'll walk around until the explosion. He can also be picked up and thown (tl;dr they work the same way as Bob-ombs)
I Can see how it's behavior is part Goomba and part Koopa, but i also see it's behavior as part Dry Bones, for it's ability to revive itself after being stomped on
The Mechakoopas are back in smm2 and better than ever yes they have the basic one but red ones shoot bullets and the blue ones have lasers. In night all colors have jets
then mario maker 2 happened. and then it got updated, adding mechakoopas in the game. but now theres new red and blue varients. red shoots homing missiles, blue shoots lasers. at night they can hover with jet engines. finally they are unique!
Bruh you're really ignoring the fact that they're immune to fireballs and most attacks, even the cape, their only purpose is to be thrown, they also happen to follow you unlike most Koopas, I mean ig it doesn't mean much when NSMBW introduced the ice flower, but other than that they were nearly indestructible, so the lack of a redesign didn't bother me at all, but yeah at least SMM2 introduced new variants, if only they could also incorporate Micro Mecha-Bowsers from SMG again
I'd argue that the mechakoopas did do something they added to the levels they were in and you were massively wrong about them in the new super mario bros. games because in those games unlike super mario world they act totally different than goomba because you can throw them they also act different than koopas because when thrown they don't bounce around like crazy not every enemy has to have all these crazy abilities or variations if anything it's more like a variation itself think of it like a koopa for mechanical areas you have a tendency to bash an enemy for not changing or doing something super unique but I'd argue that the mechakoopa works fine because it's meant more for setting and atmosphere we don't need crazy variations of every enemy
You should have remade this video when Super Mario Maker 2’a final major update came out because many evolved to become blastamechakoopas and zapamechakoopas.
I have an idea maybe they could shoot flames like they did in the galaxy games but be super fast and chase after you I think that be a good turn for the enemy
There's this minigame in Mario party 9 where there are 3 doors to choose from sometimes a door is a trap!, you basically have to run from the mecha koopas.
In Mario maker 2 is a Mecha koopa with red bullet bills and electronic blue lasers the Mecha koopa with the bullets is red and the with blue electric lasers blue
When playing new super Mario bros wii go to the world 4 purple castle. Somewhere in the level there should be a large fence with a large rectangular switching part in the middle. The koopa troopa just level with the switching part of the fence panel (the bottom one) can provide infinite coins. Get an ice flower or penguin suit and to the large switching panel. Now time this right and it works! As fast as you can, jump, freeze the koopa troopa and grab+switch the switching panel in a time window of 13 frames (I counted). Doing this causes the koopa to not be frozen completely and climb in and out of the ice block as if it were the fence, meaning he doesn't die. So, the game needs him to die in order to break the ice, but it doesn't work so it just decides to do what it normally would: spawn 2 coins, except they spawn at a rate of 87 per second, counting both streams. Also, so your wii doesn't crash, collect the coins fast. In short, the ice doesn't break so it just continues to spawn coins. It makes your lives go nuts.(at life 99, Mario loses his hat for some reason!)
Wily the mechakoopas also have different variations in super mario maker 2 the first one has the ability to fire a homing bullet different from the homing bullet bill and the one who fired a laser beam
