Super Mario Kart 150cc Grand Prix: Special Cup 

One of the most brutal experiences I've ever had with videogames. And you're reading this from someone who plays since the late 90's. The AI in this is absurdly cheated and it feels like every pixel in these tracks were perfectly placed to make you fail. Had good times with this game, but this cup is the reason SMK is low in my Mario Kart tier list.

This is the reason why I use Mario on the 150cc special cup. Donut Plains 3, ghost Valley 3, and Rainbow Road are hard for me.

This cup is really hard, but here's the bizarre part: I have no trouble at all getting first in DP3! My problem is... KB2... the one everyone thinks is easy! 0_o

jesus I still remember my heart beating out of my chest as a kid when I knew i made it as far as firstplace every race up to vanilla lake. MY GOD the pressure was so high at this point of the race...then making it to rainbow road was an achievement of its own! Still very tough to do today is 150 all first place.

How did you get 1st place every time in special cup 150cc, even 100cc is hard for me because I keep falling out on rainbow road and princess is the master on super mario kart, like she gets 1st place all the time likes she never loses, and every time I get 1st she almost always gets 2nd

PRO I dusted off this game about a month ago, felt pretty good. I could never get a gold on this cup though, its the only one im missing! I'm an MK64 guy for life though, ive played that like every day for the last 14 years

I remember winning the Special Cup 150cc as a kid... it took quite some time. AI are total assholes in this game and don't play by the rules. I had to try a hundred of times Rainbow Road, you could lose for any little thing (like the cart behind pushing you in a cliff) in an instant... never been so frustrated in a game! I could only play with Koopa / Toad cause they were the easiest for steel / drifting but the problem is they were slow af lol

I never really was into the let's play idea, I just like to show the games and how I play them.

I definitely remember this cup. Took me forever to get. The haunted boo stage was always the hardest one for me....next to the ice one anyway.

@8:12 the stress of being in last or just 7th on rainbow road is so crazy. Unlike you I never figured out the power slides perfect so I always had to fight for passes.

+CountBleck2009: I called hacked 150cc special cup is not that easy, even with the drifting and Luigi, I notice one different with Mario and Luigi. Mario can't seem to stay in the middle of the pack, while Luigi as no problem, that his what I experience, and as soon as your in the finial lap and do well, the cpu cheat by interfering with your control, for no reason left his right, and right his left, and other cpu cheat method, prevent your jump button from working for no reason, getting shove by no-cpu, a light cpu can shove you like a heavy weight, cpu getting stuck to your kart, and dragging you in water or in the lawn, no even one pixel near deep water, and you suddenly in Water, the same with lava, thwomps, bottomless abyss in ghost valley and rainbow road, you drive on a boost pad correctly, no boost for no reason, if your directly behind hogging the back of a cpu, normaly if they crap an item on you your not effected, in 150cc you do that and your still effected by the item, you clearly jump over item with the hop button, and you still get effect by that item, cpu phase through item for no reason.

i felt your pain when you got hit by that thromp and then bumped off the edge on rainbow road. I remember doing this run and i think it was the fourth lap and i got hit by it and thought ok im good i can still when and then bam someone bumped me off the edge. ah good memories this game gave me

You missed out on a lot of good stuff on this run. Like on the Ghost race, you can use the mushroom at the point where you hit the zoom arrow to launch your racer almost all the way to the finish line, same on Rainbow road when you get to the last split before the finish line you can launch with a mushroom off the ramp and go to the finish line almost. Still a solid, perfect score run.

I suck at theis game -_- it's too hard

This guy is as good as me at best, it's fascinating looking at other people play this because as someone who's entirely beaten this game multiple times, I'm realizing there aren't too many people who are actually better than me. It's kinda exciting to know I'm actually great at something lol

Looks like a mod or hack. Literally no cpu messed with you. Also, you were going way too fast
