I know but it's unrealistic nintendo would never make such a scary screen especially for little kids whose mom's accidentally got a pirated version. I think they would just shut down the game or give them a little message if it was real.
you're the right in that this is incredibly well made but wrong if you think that makes it exempt from criticisms in regards to the cliche as hell "oooooo scary" aspect of the video. Because at this point, it has been done to death. It's one thing for subtle creepiness/shock value like the Mario Party DS videos, but it's another for Mario getting sent to various levels of what is basically Hell. Had this video stopped after the initial "get off my track!" line it would've been more in-line with a proper anti-piracy. Obviously the scary aspect is fine if that's what the creator wants to include, I just find creepiness this blatant to be dumb in anti-piracy videos.
sad thing is that now nintendo has their “priorities” to make sure people don’t “pirate” melee using slippy instead of make decent games without paid dlc.
Scariness Level of all the Events: Racers Disappear - 6/10 Lakitu Warning - 4/10 Red Aesthetic - 8/10 Hellish Area - 8/10 Mole Attack - 7/10 Blue Hellish Area - 9/10 Shadow Mario - 8/10 Shadow Racers - 10/10
I don't care if this isn't believable, its super well made and the attention to detail is amazing! 1. When the black figure is approaching, Mario's eyes look at the figure 2. Mario used the mushroom that he got earlier to escape the figure 3. It isn't just a Wii crashing noise with a poorly photoshopped Mario face with comic sans over it, it looks more fitting for the game's style. It has a lot of effort put into it, and its my favourite by far.
why are most fan made (mostly made by other people besides jerry pereloni) anti piracy screens like ".exe" creepypastas. realistically speaking, nintendo wouldn't do this. although, i like the creativity
This is an impressive edit, but it’s very overproduced. Considering this was the SNES era, Nintendo would certainly be more subtle and insidious when it came to something like an anti-piracy measure - compare the delightfully and fiendishly clever anti-piracy trickery seen in EarthBound, for example, where the game tries to deceive the pirate into thinking everything’s okay (but a little off since a lot more enemies spawn than in a legit game, but maybe it might go unnoticed or mistaken for being normal by the pirate) only to crash and wipe everything when you begin fighting the final boss.
Even though this is really well made this video doesn't really fit what would really happen for the anti-piracy screen, this is more of a creepypasta made real than an antipiracy screen. The popularity of this trend made what made the original interesting just not the same.
@@elipotter2826 you say Terrible Grammar, while you have worse grammar then that person! I have spotted 3 grammar mistakes and 2 comma mistakes I also saw a full stop mistake, that you have made, 1. You said Terrable Grammer and not "Terrible grammar!" 2. The fact that you put the beginning letters "FOA" In caps when it's "First of all" and not "First of All" just is annoying! 3. When you finished typing "First of all" you put a full stop instead of a comma, like how I just did there! And last but not least, You said "Scond Of All." And you put a full stop at the end of terrible Grammar and then do the full stop! Thank you for reading my comment of the mistakes off your comment and this person has better English!
Not gonna lie, this really brings me back to those old "oooooooo spooky game" Creepypasta. I mean that in a good way, It's kinda cool seeing stuff like this.
Here's how I think the story was: Mario was racing in his kart as usual, having a fun time, until suddenly a glitch in the game occurs that causes all the racers to disappear. Not only that, but it caused the lactutu (sorry if I messed up the name) to become corrupted. This causes lactutu to become more aggressive and angry. At the beginning of the glitch you can hear his sounds but are distorted. Mario keeps driving until he hits glitched pipes that are unavoidable pipes that will cause lactutu to glitch again and cause him to think the game is pirated. He warns the Player to get off his track. If the player doesn't turn off the game, anything will get worse. Now anything is glitchy. Red floor. Black water. Now Lactutu reaches his breaking point and he then grabs Mario as he tries to escape. Then he forces Mario into the Black, glitched water. This brings Mario into the flip side of the track. Mario drives around a bit, until he spots a glitched up Monty Mole. It is in the ground, slowly getting out of it until you see its eyes. It then attacks Mario. It then brings Mario deeper and deeper. Into a deeper reality. He then looks behind himself to spot a shadow figure that looks like Luigi. Mario then uses a Mushroom to get away. Then after slowing down, he looks behind again to find some of his crew, only shadow creatures now. They then tell Mario It's a serious crime to pirate videogames. Mario is then dragged down to no return. A corrupted cartage that breaks the anti privacy itself. Hope I wasn't too nerdy for you all.
Wow this is a good one that seems cool and actually pretty legit. Liked how they just disappear and Lakitu says “it’s illegal to private games get off my track!” But then... why red!?
Despite all the comments saying this is “too edgy”, or “basically just an exe game”, I think this is the eeriest anti piracy screen video by far. I think a lot of it has to do with the custom sound effects done. (The volume increasing when the shadow Mario was chasing Mario made me tense up!)
Y'know, most of these "anti piracy screen" videos nowadays are literally the exact same thing but in a different skin Just make everything look fine and dandy and then slap a scary image after the text "It is a crime to pirate video games" appears and then bam, you got your anti piracy screen.
A little Easter egg in Super Mario Kart in either GP mode or two player match race mode before you choose your driver on the the driver select screen if you press the “A” and “Y” buttons at the same time you can play as a small car but it doesn’t work in time trial mode or battle mode only in GP mode or two player Match Race mode
this is easily one of the best anti piracy screens i’ve ever seen. heck, you even inspired my “Grand Prix Gone Wrong” AU for mario kart; keep up the good work!!
1:29 Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Koopa Troopa, Bowser and Donkey Kong Jr.: ‘we’ve been expecting you, Mario. It is a serious crime to pirate video games’
Anti pyracy idea: when you reach close to the finish of the track, the screens turns black, and you restart the track, BUT, in the track, the obstacles are crucified goombas and toads, and you are racing alone, when you use an power up an decapited luigi starts to chase you, and when he touches you it crashes the entire shit (the sky is black and the road is red)
i mean, yes, the anti-piracy thing here is exaggerated, creepy until cringe, it could have been a lot more impactful only with the last shadow racers part and yet, this is one of the best edits, the music, the bitrate, the graphics, the production is in... another level
