Let's face facts. The Patriarch Plumber of Platform Gaming is the only truly worthy mate for Samus Aran. She killed Peach, blamed it on Bowser, and now she will "console" Mario, and by console, I mean seduce.
James McClenny Okay. Let's be reasonable about this. If Samus wanted Mario, she would have had him already. At least the roles would be flipped, but I think Master Chief would be better for her (despite the age difference). Both have suffered, both seek revenge, and both have a VERY dangerous enemy. Samus would EASILY dominate the Halo world. Master Chief would not last ten seconds in the Metroid world. Let's see Master Chief try to kill half the shit Samus did. From what I remember, the most powerful thing Master Chief has ever faced (not counting Vehicles) was Didact. Samus has squashed BUGS stronger than him.
I love how Mario and Metroid were complete opposites or each other. Mario taught us side scrolling to the right, while metroid inspired us to think about going left and exploring.

I think it would also be cool to have like a Super Mario cross with Metroid Fusion. I just like the stalker type enemies, which is why fusion is my favorite. Mario being chased by a Mario at his best.

That looks insanely cool. I wonder if it would be possible to make an entire hack with that Super Metroid style gameplay. Throughout the video I'd been wondering if you would fight any bosses.

I have seen a lot of impressive SMW hacks but custom music always seems to use the SMW instruments. I was shocked to hear rainy crateria sound exactly like in Super Metroid and a couple of other tracks use the exact SM soundfont even if they aren't exact 1:1 perfect copies. Also cool use of the Metroid 1/ZM versions of Kraid and Ridley's hideouts instead of the SM versions although the instruments on them seem off compared to the SM songs you ported over. I just wish the escape theme was the extended version from the NES release, a complaint I had with Zero Mission too. I know it is based on how the song was in the original Japanese release, but the extra verse is my favorite part
+djatomnium Awesome! You've already gone so far above and beyond with the music as it is. SMW hacks are so abundant that there are even a lot of cool, fun, and original ones making it hard for even the great ones to stand out. All that extra effort to get the music to stand out sets this apart from the bunch already.
Mario is way to much ridiculously Overpowered in this. Some of those aliens Samus can't even kill and uses as stepping stone, and Mario takes them out, by just landing on them...
looks amazing, why kraids lair in lower brinstar tho? EDIT: the themes in general were weird, lower norfair had ridley and upper brinstar and tourian were a remix
