Thank you good sir, it was fun when I learned about the save or kill animals during the 2014 speedrun race for charity. If you have not seen it before, you should, it is intensely fun and only a 45 minute speedrun. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lmfV8IhsHq0.html Gametheory also has a fun theory about them if you have never seen it before: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H5upPvgtERQ.html
You even showed the best escape in Metroid history. You have earned my respect and a new subscriber. When I was a kid, I used to spring ball up the old Tourian shaft during the escape.
I am glad you like it. Patch the rom and give it a try. If you have any troubles playing the hack be sure to let me know, i also have a tutorial that may help.
The thing I like about Super Metroid's music is that it doesn't just complement a setting, it conveys an emotion, like Maridia's sad and dreadful music or Brinstar's upbeat theme. This orchestral set conveys it perfectly in my opinion.
Thank you! I got each track credited in the description if you want to look up any of these musicians RU-vid channels. I spent a long time finding the perfect track for each song and i am glad to hear you like them.
Wow This is my best played game, and you make me a more thrill but it’s so also very freighting. Especially the track “Red Soil” is very very makes me feel weird. I think the eerieness of the area is very apparent.
Thank you, i am glad you like it! I hope you have fun playing it and i have a tutorial video.to help you learn to play it. If you have any trouble let me know and i will help you set it up
Glad you like it! Download it and give it a try. If you have any trouble setting up the MSU1 hack I got a 5 minute tutorial that can help and I will be happy to help you out if you need further assistance. Hope you enjoy!
If the two Space Pirates at 41:56 escaped alive, they have a story to tell. Pirate A: So the station is self-destructing... Pirate B: Yeah, we kid you not, explosions every where Pirate A: And coming through the door, you'll never guess who came through Pirate B: F*cking Samus Aran, bro! Pirate A: I didn't know what to do, she was charging at us like she was going to shine-spark our asses Pirate B: Get this though, get this Pirate A: I just instinctively kicked, and I kicked her right in the vagina! Pirate B: Yeah bro! I was there, I saw it!
@@jud6ment Yep, there's a lot of influence especially the set and creature designs owe a lot to the gothic artist H.R. Giger, who did the conceptual design for Alien '79. Then of course the named RIDLEY is named after the director.
This is the second of these I have heard and … honestly it sounds MUCH better than the first. The first one aims to be too orchestral and ambient throughout. I think it was the first effort at this (and I see some of it in yours as well). What you have here is a little punchier and definitely fits the game more. The biggest thing I think still _needs_ improvement (there are things I'd like, but the one that _needs_ it) is the elevator/Chozo rooms. Those are supposed to be electronic, not real instruments. Replacing those patches with something natural isn't right for those rooms. A violin or cello can only substitute when the entire thing is being done with such instruments. That's gotta be chippy/synthy IMO. The guitar when Ridley appears at Ceres had me actually cheer-the other one I heard … wtf that's "boss music"? A very worthy improvement overall! Although if someone hasn't done that computer room sound better by NOW I'm going to have to learn how to make these things.
The original soundtrack used is all from a musician named blake robinson. You can find his music on youtube with a simple search. Absolutely fantastic music but not everything translates well when converted to the game soundtrack and why i wanted to make my own collected music. I remember that Ridley boss music get slow placed and piano only 40 seconds in, it is weird in game, agreed that really needed a fix. I built this sound track to try to respect the game context. I am glad you like it. As for the elevator theme, send me a message on zeldix website of link of a version you would like and i will make it for you and send a link back to download. I personally like the string plucking but i can get you something you like, and who knows, maybe i will like that one better too.
@@jud6ment Found his, and a third musician who's got about half the game done so far aiming for something that kinda evokes that sense of unease I remember playing all those years ago. Not so much the isolation (since that doesn't have the same effect on me anymore…) There are REALLY talented people making these music patches!
Thanks bro, hope you enjoy it. Later tonight i am going to release this again with a small update where i balance music volume a little better and i am going to use the artist called The Noble Demon version of Red Soil Brinstir.
Ok, I posted a PCM update on Zeldix just now. Just does some volume re-adjustments (some tracks were a bit too loud), and changes the Chozo Item Room and Red Soil to tracks I think is better.
Thank you bro. If you have any trouble patching the rom (it can be a little tricky) just ask for my help by sending me a message on zeldix website. Hope you enjoy
I am going to be adding that in soon for each of my projects. I got spring break in two days and going to be doing that. Most of these are blake robinson and the noble demon. Both very fantastic
@@jud6ment I'm failing halfway through the process, but I not speak english very well, so... Maybe I have to try harder to understand. Thank you for answer me. If you will make a new tutorial, will be interersting it has less duration
I guess I’m the only one who prefers the original music 😅 the music before the world activates is a little better here. The slow creepy ambient music. The fast paced action music is better on snes though. But that’s just my opinion. Love to see the game and hear a different take on the music though. Super Metroid is in my top 5 games of all time.
@@SUPAHMARIOBOIII yes. The snes had plans for a cd drive add on that never happened. If you buy a sd2snes cartridge you can play this on legit snes console. However, i strongly recommend an emulator as it is easier that way and free. I got a 5 min tutorial how to set this up, not very hard.
@@SUPAHMARIOBOIII also, this is a very old video. Check this out, my update i made about 8 months ago, much better music choices. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wsOocVDTnpI.htmlfeature=shared This update is way cool, even has opening voiceline and voicelines/additional sound effects in the wrecked space station. Be sure to listen to Upper Brinstar Vegetation, that track is legit
9:00 here a classic mistake. This is actually not music, but beep noises created by the computers in the room, it's not music although the harmony of the beeps creates a kind of music. That is, the sound of this room would remain the same as the game.
Sorry, I erased my comment when I fixed it. Yeah, I did watch the tutorial video and it wasn't working... until I tried using a different new version of the emulator Snes9x. It finally works.
When I first got into MSU-1, that was my biggest trouble that I couldnt get to work too. Just needed to update the emulator. Glad you got it to work, feel free to ask me if you need help with anything else
@@jud6ment Actually, yeah. I also agree with Joseph regarding the elevator and item rooms... which file is that one so I can remove it and have the normal one?
@@linkbluu321 i will have to get back to you on that one when my laptop is up. In the tutorial video i made i show how you can listen to the pcm tracks on your computer. Also, if you have a new track suggestion let me know, i do plan to fix that track when i get the chance.
@@linkbluu321 what do you think of this guys item theme remix? I might make this the new track ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kq3p28iuQyw.html
The more i listen to the track the more i can agree with that statement. The also starts quick with little build up. Do you have a recommendation? I was considering testing metroid dread version of the track to see what i think.
Look in the description, it will show who did every track. The majority is Blake Robinson synthetic orchestra. The Noble Demon also does a few of these tracks. Each of these tracks can be found on youtube
I dont know. It is plausible, probably have to find the right version as not all emulators are compatible. Have you got this to work on a pc emulator before? That would be your first step, make sure you can set it up right first before you try a more challenging emulator.
Well the point of this video is to show that you can play the game on an emulator that replaces the soundtrack. It isnt a music upload, it is a video game modification. You can even replay super metroid with this music in the game if you desire. But i did show in the description of this video where i found all the music i used in my rom hack project and you can find the original artists and listen to their music by itself without gameplay or sound effects.
Check description, you want to go to zeldix website link, download patch, download pcm set with JUD6MENT name on it, then follow the tutorial i posted that you can find on my channel. Message me if you have any trouble
We recently had troubles with the download links, i dont know if you were able to download or not but the links are working again. Sorry if it was an inconvenience. Let me know if you need any of my help
Well that was not a playthrough but a showcase. I was experimenting volume level adjustments, tempo, different tracks, i probably spent a good hour just jumping around from one place to another to see if i think the song fits each area correctly. Just this showcase shows a good 30 minutes of me wondering around to shoe the music.
Once you know the msu1 patch would ks on pc, then i know there is a little more you need to do on the sd2snes that i do not know what as i do not have one, but this forum will probably help. www.zeldix.net/t2239-sd2snes-help-needed
@@Just_Ants i dont know. I would say give it a try and see what happens. Sometimes if you are lucky the asm codes can overlap and you can apply two patches to one rom, and sometimes it changes the coding too much that it breaks the game. I will fiddle around with a couple hacks i know and see if any good can be applied
Because i have a new music set with what i believe is better music. This is my old preview. I leave it up though as i put all the old tracks in a separate folder to download if you wanted to recreate these specific songs
They arent his, ive binged a ton of metroid fan music and I recognize a lot of these. Many of these tracks are done by the Nobel Demon, if you dont know of that channel, do yourself a favor and check that out. Its awesome.
I used google translate to see your message. It does not make sense how it translated. Are you asking me for help? Sorry that communication might be challenging for us.
