If you like this, check out Synt5's hd remaster of the same song. He's currently working on upgrading the entire super metroid sountrack, but as of now only upper and lower brinstar are done. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GfCHqIVwlZI.html
I say this youtuber and @RetroDaniel are the only ones who do both very different versions of the original song and exactly how the original is without changing the composition.
Jammin' Sam Miller is another one that reconstructs the original instrument samples (sometimes from the original synth devices). He started with Donkey Kong Country but he's also done Super Metroid and others.
Check out the remix done by Synt5 as well, he payed amazing respects while also making it sound like a track you'd hear in a modern game. Fantastic remix, I think you'd appreciate it
Metroid offers such a unique experience that no other scifi game or movie brings to the table. I love the atmosphere and music. Space stations and laboratories that lost control and has gone all but derelict.
Man... i hope, if there came 2024 (30th anniversary of Super Metroid) a remake of Super Metroid and this version of Overgrown Brinstar is choosen for its OST. you nailed it 20/10 Please let there be a Remake of Metroid 3 with this theme. Hype hype hype
I like this. Sounds a lot like the original but modernized. Could fit well into a remake of Super Metroid (not that it's particularly needed since that game is a timeless masterpiece, but I wouldn't mind one like 15 years from now after a few more titles get pumped out because of the long period of no games).
I want more time on Upper Brinstar when I play Super Metroid because is a fast place to research but I can't I just stay there for the music for a while!
Every remix I've heard of this either screws up the best part of the theme or doesn't even include it, so good on you for not doing that. (melody at about 0:21 is what I'm referring to.)
So, love the remix! However, I don't see a non-looped/extended version of it in your videos section and I'm hesitant to add it to my usual favorites playlist since it would kinda dominate a chunk. Don't suppose you're planning on uploading a normal length version, are you?
