You know what? I don't even care that the majority of people like killing the animals, I don't care that it's cost me races before. I save (or taunt) the animals every damn time, even when playing SMZ3. If you like some epic animal saving and/or spite action, I've got that all over my twitch stream, so be sure to come say what up :)
not only were the creatures of Zebes *not* looking to start shit, they were actually all sleeping when Samus showed up and started stealing their stuff.
This was more than impressive! The heat section gtb so stressful. The time window is so tight and a single trick-fail at some points would have ended the run. That's what made it even more astonishing.
Hey! Small world! Yep, I'm alive and still watching the same stuff, just not producing. I think if I had a great idea for a video I would try to do it, but I can't think of anything worth making. It'd have to be good so I could impress the 200 viewers I'd get :D
I've just finished super metroid for the first time and came to see this video after avoiding it for months (didn't want spoilers). This is the most mindblowing speedrun I've ever seen.
This is an awesome run to behold! Good work! I've never watched a reverse boss order run before and the strats used for the Norfair run without a varia suit is totally god-like.
It seems you found your inner Hotarubi for this run. Great showmanship, a pleasure to watch. I don't think this time with animals saved will ever be topped, unless you decide to do it yourself. :) INSANE SKILLZ!!!
Wow! Not only have to memorize the entire map and what will you encounter, but also survive hot zones without the Varia suit! 😲😲 And also the battle with ridley. No words, man!!!
Zoast, Much love and respect from me here in Bristol, UK the Strat to kill Draygon is one my mum had though was the proper way to kill him till I told her that all this time me and her both thought killing him with the grapple was actually the non intended way her face changed lol. Also holy shit this run was amazing actually it was insane you truly are a Master of Super Metroid I haven't the foggiest of how you managed to do all those amazing strats and kill the bosses in reverse order like going to Norfair with no Varia or Gravity suit is insane but by God there was a ton of clench moments but one person in your stream chat made my blood boil when they said that Metroid is a Chinese pirate copy of halo wars halo was not really thought of or even a thing when Metroid began so it made be a bit furious but despite the troll I really enjoyed this run
Oh, sorry. Didn't know what "Kappa" meant. Thought you were addressing some person who maybe deleted their comment and that was their name. But I just looked it up and the word basically means sarcasm. My apologies.
I played this game when it originally came out on the snes.. yes I'm old. Regardless, the most impressive run I've ever seen. Watched from beginning to end. Way to completely break the rules. There is no spoon.
Exceptional zoasty the best super metroid player nor does it seem human ... I think the creators did not imagine so many innovations ... After seeing your videos until animei to buy a super metroid but I lack skills hahaha ... Keep hitting records if it is that Is possible ... A fan from Brazil ... Congratulations !!!
Zoast watching you do those sick moves was amazing to behold! the damage boost screen transistion as well as many high speed mockball jumps as well. Shame Phantoon and Botwoon were being right douches that run but hey the numbers were good and shows the route itself was sound overall. And I about pissed myself when you saved the animal lol. Good on ya bro!
Haha, thanks! Yeah I really like this route, it's my own creation. But it's not the fastest route humans could do! Fastest would be to skip screw attack and golden torizo fights, but that will make the run 5-10 times harder than it already is here. Until somebody actually pulls off that insanely hard route, this is the next fastest route I know of.
É uma técnica que, se você deixar o jogo rolar aparece fazendo na apresentação do jogo, na tela inicial, isso quando você esta em um avançado estágio do jogo.
I started playing this game about a month ago, but without a map near me, with all the items marked, and a bit of help of RU-vid, from time to time, I would be completely lost. What I saw here is just insane 🤯 This is full on bladerunning, not speedrunning.
@@zoasty Yes, it was absolutely amazing to see what is possible in this game, with the right skills. It is an awesome game with awesome physics and everything, it is a real masterpiece and I'm looking forward to learn more about it. Wish you all the best for your runs👍
Did I see a spike kago on the way to Ridley? :O This is getting ridiculous now :) I bet he would survive all lower norfair without the second reserve tank too. It's that good. Amazing. These RBO runs are cool.
What song is at 1:05:30 rolling at the end credits?? Thanks! :D What a fantastic run. Zoast is always legendary at this game. RBO is my favorite to watch.
the diagonal echos coming from the shinespark are a completely normal built in feature of the game... they do a ton of damage. you just shinespark in the right place, as to barely not get close enough to activate their jump kick pattern, then when you hold forward from the crash, the echoes hit the pirates just as they activate their jump kick pattern (and thus become vulerable to damage)
oh shit thanks for replying zoast! I guess the shinespark echoes are just something ya never notice when casually playing the game. it's cool how you can manipulate them, are there any other examples of using them to damage things?
I am in awe regardless, however it looked like you didn't even use exploit glitch exposure to clip through the locked door. I haven't played Super Metroid other than at a neighbor's house or something, the speed runs for it though I like seeing and the backwards order with rescuing the animals?! IMPRESSIVE...
Recently got into Super Metroid speedrunning. I didn't even know a Reverse Boss Order speedrun of this game existed. You crushed it! Off topic, but I have a question: What do you play on? Original cartridge? Wii? Emulator?
