Super moist Fruit Cake Recipe for Christmas /Simple and Easy Boiled Fruit Cake Recipe
Super moist fruit cake Complete Written Recipe: merryboosters....
This fruit cake is a simpler and easier version of making a traditional fruit cake or old-fashioned fruit cake.
In this Easy fruit cake recipe we don't need any soaking of dry fruits; but still the raisins,candied peels,cranberries and other dried fruits will be juicy and plumpy as they are boiled in liquid and then added into the cake batter.
This video will show you one of the least messy ways that we can make a fruit cake.We don't need any stand mixer/hand mixer to make this cake.A sauce pan and a wooden spoon are the only major tools to make this fruit cake.
In two steps we can make this super moist fruit cake batter.
Step1:
Boil the dry fruits in a sauce pan with butter sugar and water.
Step2:
Add all the rest of ingredients into this saucepan after its cooled.
Step3:
Bake the fruit cake @ 320 F for 75-90 minutes.
The cake is so soft and moist and the aroma of spices makes this fruit cake, more flavorful.
This fruit cake recipe is one of my favorite recipes to make moist fruit cake.

I made this for Christmas, really good, I soak raisins overnight with Rum, the next day microwave butter and brown sugar, , let it cool before adding the soak rum raisin and for the cake , i add lemon peel candies , cherries candies and pecan, thank you for sharing the recipes.

I know this video has been around for a couple years. However, I just made this cake (October 2022) and it turned out wonderful! So easy! I used 1/2 cup cherry brandy and 1/4 cup water for liquid. Thank you for my go to fruit cake for Christmas!

My late mother gave me her fantastic fruit cake recipe before she passed and mine looks just like this beauty. However the method is slightly different As I put the sugar and eggs in a food processor to whisk up until I get soft peaks, then add the flour, dried fruit gradually. The ingredients are pretty much the same I also add fine ground almonds to the flour for extraño flavor. Then I would add the melted butter. Sorry but I’m not going to leave out the cognac. The alcohol burns off anyway and it bakes for 200 deg for around 7 hrs. It’s turned out great every time and will last forever when it’s stored in the fridge. Next time though I think I will make my own candied fruits ie orange and lemon.. I think soaking, cooking the raisins in liquor is an excellent idea.

Lovely recipe, I will try this as I always make a traditional UK Christmas cake. The only difference is that I will cover the top with lines of different dried fruits and nuts then brush again with glaze. Your cake serves 12 people, you cut a very generous slice, as it is very rich half that quantity would be more than enough.

I just made this and it’s delicious! I used tart dried cherries, sultanas and dried cranberries. It’s an easy recipe and so delicious! I usually concoct my own fruit cake recipe which often comes out dry. This one is perfect, don’t hesitate to make it!

Everything looks good, but we add a little brandy at the end and sometimes even in the batter as well..lol..hey it's the holidays. This is very similar to a recipe given to me by a friend from the Syrian Christian community from Kerala, India. It was a super moist recipe and delicious too. I would make it about 2 weeks before New Year prick it and add cognac to it then - at least a couple of times before cutting and it tasted amazing. This seems just as good. Lost that recipe, so happy to find a similar recipe. Thank you, Bincy Chris.

I am so happy to find this recipe. I adore fruitcake and the one I was raised on watching my parents make was a recipe from the late 40’s - early 50’s and used every type of dried fruit then known ( and let’s face it finding and buying candied citrus and dark red cherries when not in the “ holiday season “ is next to impossible. I tried this out and it came out well except for the colour which is probably because I used light brown sugar only and didn't have molasses at hand. This recipe is a keeper !

I tried your recipe and must say the texture was perfect. I disobeyed one instruction by only placing one sheet of baking paper so got little bit of overbrowning. Thank you so much.

This is almost exactly like my husband's grandmother's recipe, which I used for years. Her recipe was lost during one of my moves, so I am thrilled to find this one. What size pan does this require? Can't wait to make it! Yum! 🎄

So glad its similar to your grandmothers recipe. Hope you will love this fruit fruit cake. The pan I have used is 7 inch.Its okay to use 8 inch pan as well.

Looks like it would do well in a 9 x 5 loaf pan. It's easier to slice and serve than a round cake.
