I suddenly am reminded of a person who was a new level creator; not many likes or maker points. I had a decent amount (few of my levels have above 10 likes), and I played some of his levels, liking them. I stopped playing them after a while because I wanted something hard. Eventually, when he created his own world, he had a few levels with hundreds of likes, gaining more maker points than me in a shorter amount of time. I don’t have any reason for telling this story other than because I wanted to. P.S. his name was rooftopple.

lets take a look at edelgards declaration of war so i can point out every flaw in it. by the way i will be using details from every route including cindered shadows dlc. if you dont wish to be spoiled id advise not reading on. lets address edelgards first point. Edelgard first claims that " the leaders of the church have misused their creed to attempt to rule the world". This statement is stupid if you even take a second to analyze it. Fadlan and the church of Seiros are extremely isolationist and dont bother with the affairs of other countries if they planned to rule the world they would have invaded almyra by now and declared war but they haven't they have only been defending themselves. there are only 2 nations in Fodlan which have land outside Fodlan. those being the holy kingdom of Fheargus who conquered Duscur in response to regicide and the Adrestian empire who conquered brigid and now hold the princess of brigid as a hostage to secure good relations. kind of ironic isnt it. lets look at edelgards next statement "they divided the empire to make a kingdom and divided the kingdom to make an alliance to make sure the people bicker amongst themselves so they may remain in control" this is a half truth. the kingdom separated from the empire because of issues with succession and due to the political instability in fodlan. From what records we have in game the church negotiated a peace between the kingdom and the empire but never fought for either side. And as for the alliance and the kingdom it was another issue of instability as kingdom succession was split between the kings 4 sons and when one of them died the nobles of the region wanted to rebel as to not be controlled by the prince. the church did not fight but again after 4 years of war negotiated for a peace. Edelgard blames the church for this when it is far more likely the events were caused by those who slither in the dark in order to ensure the church does not have control for when they begin their next step. ironically edelgard sided with those who slither in the dark who are truly responsible. how ironic. edelgards next statement was this "they gathered gold and lived in extravagance by preying on the devotion of their servants" Again this has no bases as the church of seiros is seen to return any and all artifacts including the relic weapons. The only thing the church stockpiled and hid where golems which are dangerous war machines the chalice which is a dangerous artifact which makes umbral beasts and the sword of the creator which is the corpse of rheas mommy. so I have no clue where she ever got this idea but its wrong. finally edelgard has this to say "those hypocrites cannot lead fodlan to true peace" This is truly ironic as before fe3h fodlan has had 800 YEARS of peace. peace to be interrupted by edelgard. the only hypocrite here is her. in her attempts to destroy that system she became it but refuses to acknowledge how much of an idiot she is. her entire reason for starting a war is based off of a misconception and the lies told to her by those who slither in the dark. At least dimitri has the guts to acknowledge he is wrong and he acknowledges that he is infact a monster whilst edelgard stays on her non existent high horse. That is why Edelgard Von Hresvelg is the villain of fe3h. Its because she has no reason to fight but fights anyways. Her war was pointless slaughter.

Alright, let me preface this by saying I don’t support her decisions. She could have gotten everyone to turn on the church with her if she managed distance herself from Those Who Rave In The Dark. But hindsight is 20/20. Anyway, if my memory serves, at some point in Silver Snow, Seteth says something akin to “Perhaps she attempts to demonize the church.” Please, do correct me if I’m wrong on that quote. Anyway, her aim in this war is simple and clear cut, not just senseless slaughter. To quote the woman who we disagree over so much, “The crests are to blame for this cruel, irrational world we live in.” As we all know, due to her twin crests, she has an incredibly shortened lifespan. Now, look at it from HER point of view. You just got experimented on, probably won’t live past thirty, and what do you blame? The crests. And who created the system that put the crests on a pedestal, such to the point that one could get experimented on to have two? The church. Therefore, if crests = bad, and church = crests, then by the basic transitive property of mathematics, church = bad. We don’t get her motives because we aren’t living her story. Anyway, that was my rant. Hope I wasn’t too obnoxious. These are just my opinions, so please, don’t start a witch hunt over this.

Let's start with edelgards stance towards crests. Even her stance towards crests is ironic. she was experimented on by a young age and blamed the value of crests for it. she should have blamed the crest researchers who are revealed to be those who dubstep in the funny kingdom hearts word. Despite wanting justice for it she allies with those who dubstep in the dark and literally believes everything they tell her so much so they convince her to transform herself into the hegemon husk. Even so the whole crest = bad thing is stupid as she doesn't even bother to investigate and question the reasons for why the crest system exist. The crest system exists in order to protect the families of those whose ancestors sided with nemesis in order to prevent them from being hunted and killed or to be heavily discriminated against as we see with marianne. now let's analyze the Edelgards system of power. If edelgard wins in crimson flower Fodlan is doomed to repeat this war over and over again and here is why. Edelgard just like Rhea is unable to move on. By refusing to confront that which shapes her ideals edelgard creates the worst possible situation for fodlan and for the unified empire. Under edelgards rule Fodlan abandons the crest system and merit is elevates under a form of imperial succession where the current emperor chooses the next emperor based on who they think is best suited to lead the now unified empire. This will lead to the emperor picking another emperor based off of who best fits the current emperors agenda. this will lead to corruption and will eventually lead to another war as the national identities of the previous cultures that where smothered rise up again because of resentment in order to fight against the empire. tse rebels will need weapons and what weapons would be better than the heroes relics which can only be used by those with crests making crests rise up again as the empire engages in civil war leading to countries splitting off of it again. this system works under rhea because shes immortal and can step in whenever she feels like it. however Edelgard will die soon making sure that the empire she creates cannot be guided by her further. if you want real life examples I point towards rome and i point towards stalin's successors for edelgards system and the balkans for the rebellion. if edelgard wins she becomes the next rhea and fodlan is reset. Edelgard even if she wins dooms fodlan to repeat itself.

It's probably just gonna be Companion Spring 4.
