I tried beating Super Mario World WITHOUT TOUCHING WATER! 

For anyone wondering, the glitch in question is an arbitrary code execution glitch. This particular variant results in the orb entering your "inventory", but there are other results as well. For example, you can do this in the second level of the first world (Yoshi's Island II) and (depending on the setup) skip straight to the credits! In other words, you can beat Super Mario World not only without *touching* water, but without ever *seeing* water!

Other Mario games: Super Mario Bros: Not possible due to the required underwater section in the final castle. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels: Possible. You can jump over the water in 1-2 to get to the secret exit to World 4. Don't take the shortcut in World 4-1 and you should be fine there. The next few levels have little to no water, all of which you can avoid, and take the secret exit in World 5-2 to get to World 8. In 8-1, don't take the shortcut and you'll be fine again. The last 3 levels have little to no water again, all of which you can avoid. The air in one room of the castle may act like water, but it isn't, because it isn't blue. Super Mario Bros 2: There are no water levels in that game. Super Mario Bros 3: Possible. You can get the two Wurp Whistles without touching any water by getting them in World 1-3 and 1-Castle, and then the only level with water in it in World 8 is the Battleship level, which you can just stay on the battleships to avoid. Super Mario Land: Not possible, because all the levels in it are required and 2-3 is an underwater level. Super Mario Land 2: Not possible, because Turtle-2, which is required to beat it, is an underwater level. Super Mario 64: Not possible, because Dire Dire Docks, which is required to beat it, is an underwater level. Super Mario Sunshine: Not possible, because Noki Bay episodes 3 and 4, which are required to beat it, are underwater (Gelato Beach episode 6 is also, but you can skip it with Gelato Beach skip). New Super Mario Bros: Not possible, because 8-2, which is required to beat it, is an underwater level. Super Mario Galaxy: ??? New Super Mario Bros Wii: Possible. The first 3 levels don't have any water in them, and then you can take the secret exit to World 5. 5-1, 5-2, 5-Tower, and 5-4 all don't have water (unless you count poison as water, but you obviously don't need to touch poison to beat them), and 5-Ghosn House does contain water, but you don't need to go into rooms that have water to get to the secret exit to World 8. 8-1, 8-2 (take the secret exit to 8-7 to skip 8-4), 8-7, 8-Airship, and 8-Castle all don't have water either. Super Mario Galaxy 2: ??? Super Mario 3D Land: Not possible, because 3-2, which is required to beat it, is an underwater level. New Super Mario Bros 2: ??? New Super Mario Bros U: ??? New Super Luigi U: ??? Super Mario 3D World: Not possible, because 3-5, which is required to beat it, is an underwater level. Can say, before this even starts, that NO, you CAN NOT beat SMW without touching water. You are required to touch water in one of four levels- Donut Plains Secret 1, Vanilla Dome 2, Vanilla Fortress, or Star World 2.

Challenge an automatic fail. I'm sorry but I've played and beaten this game at least a hundred times since I was a child in the 90s and I've played it decades since and I know for a fact that there is at least one water level in every possible path you can take. Whether that's through vanilla dome or the secret top of vanilla dome or through star road. Of course that is unless you have that glitched green orb which I always forget about

you forgot one crucial part about the beginning of the video: THE RUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES ARE SIMPLE-

You made a small mistake explaining the orb glitch, you're not actually supposed to scroll the screen when doing it, as this spawns the Clappin' Chuck too early. The Chuck is supposed to load in as Yoshi is retracting his tongue (which is why you have to jump to the right), and if it's already there the glitch won't work. Also, at 8:19, I think you mean the normal exit, as it's actually the secret exit for that ghost house that doesn't lead anywhere.
